Just a wee message to say hi to you all :)

I'm TTC with my partner. Came off the pill beginning of last month, have had one bleed since then only lasting 4 days (very heavy for 2 days though :( ouch). Already we're finding the BDing a bit awkward because there's a 'reason' to do it! Rather than just because we feel like it. Any tips on how to keep it all lovely?

We're both 25, i have DS (8) from a previous relationship.

Hi all I'm a newbie to this area too.

I always want to start chatting but then feel really daft as besides TTC I have no idea what any of the abbreviations mean.

I've been off the pill since march, and having regular periods (which thankfully are still short) which are on a 29 day cycle, so far I have avoided charts and ovulation sticks, but think I may start in the new year.

I feel a bit lost with it all, I'm just quite relaxed and saying if and when it happens great, but I would like a 2012 baby!

Can i jump on LovingChristmas band wagon? All i know is TTC and POAS. What does AF mean?

Sadly not Sucks! I am no good at waiting, I am such an impatient person and I hate hate hate waiting to test already - haven't even done one

Good news though, just found out I have a full time contract for next term (I'm a supply teacher) - very happy that I can save some money! x

Great news penguin ! It's such a relief to know works sorted for a while.!
I am getting very impatient at not being able to start TTC yet. When I look at other threads they seem very complicated with all the "AF" "POAS" and "SWI" Its nice and safe in here,!

I agree sucks! It's nice having a small cluster of people to talk with, I have heard others before getting into very heated debates on here and gets quite nasty, I would rather stay out of those conversations!

jbad think it's more AIBU that you need to stay away from - I love reading them but don't often post as scared of being ripped to shreds ;)

LO=little one, DS/DD/DH/DP=darling son/daughter/husband/partner, errr trying to think of more! CM=cervical mucus, EWCM=egg white cervical mucus, BFP/N=big fat positive/negative. Will try to think of more!

Right, stupid question -

How soon can you test? I have heard 2WW (two week wait - another!) but is this 2 weeks from OV (ovulation??? I think!) or 2 weeks from DTD (doing the deed???!) xx

sucks just realised I didn't reply to your question (sex lives!). Finding it a bit weird - knowing that we're having sex for a reason, you know, instead of just "for fun". Will see how it goes!

I thought its 2 weeks since ovulation but who knows, when u find out let me know!

Is anybody else buying baby magazines yet? I got a spoon today with Practical Parenting and was well chuffed! I have a iPhone and have put on all the pregnancy apps. But they all want a due date

Ha jbad glad there are others as clueless as me! If only it was a "oh no I'm 17 and pregnant" situation again, took my a bloody age to even realise I was pregnant. Not this time, ohhh no. Have ordered some cheap PG tests from ebay, hope they're ok.

sucks nooo cause they're soooo expensive! I look at the mothercare website though . Also keep telling OH to check the price of nappies in the supermarket as he thinks they're much more expensive than they are. Not really the best time financially to have a baby.. but when is?!

What iphone apps have you downloaded? I'm trying to find a decent (free) one for tracking fertility, any recommendations? xx

There's on called p. d and it tracks periods and fertile and ovulation days, have no idea if it's accurate but I'm guessing we will see next weekend! I have bought 2 cheap tests from tesco and all the info I have found says test 2 weeks after ovulation day

i have been off the pill since october, and have two normal cycles both 28 days long. however this month is the first we are ttc our number 1.

quite excited, reading SOO much info online. kind of torn between doing lots of research now or waiting till i get a BFP, but i cant help but look!

Hello all I'm new here too so wanna join this newbie thread! It did take me a while to understand the acronym here! (only understand the obvious ones)

We decided to try for a baby this oct, we dont have any kids yet. as my period is quite irregular i have started to take daily temperature to try to understand my cycle better. A good app I recommend is fertility friend mobile. They have quite a good guide on their website too which explains signs we can spot. Good luck all
