Acupuncture

After 15 months of TTC and no joy I have booked to see an acupuncturist whilst we wait for an appointment with the fertility specialist.

Did anyone find acupuncture helpful and what should I expect?

fairy I had this a few weeks ago. I wanted to get up, pull all the needles out and run away. But I've had a lot of acu and that has only happened once. I told my acu after (too british to say whilst I was on the table!) and the next few times she stayed with me for quite a while, checking i was ok, which I have been.

Thanks for the supportive comment WIMW. Yeah I felt I could say anything after. I really wanted to run to DH for a hug!!! My next app is on Friday so am hoping I'll be calmer this time!

Had my next app today & went really well & he said my energy is flowing better - fingers crossed it means we are heading in the right direction!

Hi Fairy, (soz have been on hols) wow that's so weird, hope you are ok and glad you went back for another session even though you had that experience. Did your acu explain why at all? Is it part of a healing process / unblocking blocked energy or something like that (still can't quite get a grip with the chinese medicine explanations!). ?? I often feel really exhausted the next day, sort of worse energy wise before going on to feel better than I started a few days later. Not sure why exactly.

Fairy how have you been getting on with that book, have you been doing any of the other recommendations? I've been away so jet lag has messed my temps up a bit so don't know where I am this month. I felt really horny mid month which I'm taking as a good sign in the absence of any others!

Hi ya, I had a panic attack again this week - was fine then it felt like I had tunnel vision!!! I am totally ok after & now!!! Again, I was very british & kept 'mum'! He did say that my energy is flowing a lot better & I'm really feeling warmer.

i'm slowly getting through the book. I totally agree with her so far, especially when she talks about how children that are so longed for will always know they were wanted. Some bits have really got me teary!

Oh no, that must be really scary. Does he put relaxing music on? I liked that part of the book too. I find it very encouraging somehow, maybe its all the success stories! Have you been feeling any different generally, or seen any charting changes yet? X

Yeah there's soft lighting & chinese chillout music - its just me I think, I'm not very good at 'letting go', if that makes sense.

I have been feeling diffrent this week - I wouldn't say I was dizzy but that sort of of light headed sort of feeling! Very weird!

Given up on chating this month. Due on any day so will b trying again then!

I've been feeling a bit light headed too. Also had light pink spotting and butterfly cramping. Am pretty sure its the same as every other month, so hard not to start fantasizing even after all these years!

AF got me so it's all ahead for Lap & Dye next week!

Not had butterfly cramp yet, but have a million other symptoms every month!!!!

Sorry to hear that, good luck for the lap and dye. I had one about 18 months ago and it wasn't as bad as i was expecting - i think after being prodded and poked as much as we have so far to be knocked out for something seems an improvement!
