have i tested too early

hiya hows everyone? well my af was due yesterday and as yet ive no signs of it, usually i can tell a couple of days earlier that im due but ive got cramp type feelings and i feel sick and dizzy ( although i dont know if im just imagining it in the hope that i have fallen pg) anyway i did a test yesterday morning on the day i was due and it was a bfn was gutted whats the chances i have tested to early ( on the day i was due on) is this too early, or am i clinging on to some thing thats probs not there!!! dp is worse than me for being gutted that it was a bfn
hes really upset which doesnt really help me,have i tested too early on the day af was due?

keep putting the docs off, dunno why? just all pg tests say no so dont think i must be, just puts off being able to keep trying, can i fall while im 18days late ect????? dunno if all this baby dancing at the mo will be doing anything?

Aprilgirl - Are all the tests in the same batch?? They might all be faulty!

Its unlikely the GP will do a blood test since you've just come off the pill. But its worth a trip anyway.... you never know, their pregnancy test might show positive!

BTW... my friend was ttc for months then her periods stopped. She did test after test after test for 4 MONTHS, but all negative. The GP finally referred her to a specialist and she was due to go when she got her positive test.

They had to scan her coz she really could've been anywhere between 5 and 15wks pg! Turned out she was only 7wks pg.... which means she conceived in the 4mths that she had no periods!

What I clumsily trying to say is... you might not have been pregnant 2 or 3 wks ago when you started thinking you were pg.... but you might be now, but still too early to show up! You may have ovulated really late in your cycle.

I really hope you get some answers soon one way or the other!

So going on that logic, carry on BDing until you find out either way, I suppose. You may yet ovulate in this cycle.

Hi April girl sorry you still don't have an answer. I would go the drs anyway and express your worries and mention your symptoms and hopefully they will take a look at things for you so you will know either way. I don't know about your drs but mine are very good.

been at m drs since i was tiny and they still treat me like im about 5 puts me off going ... sad excuse eh? no they werent same batch so cant be faulty!! aswell done silly thing of coming off pill 1/2way through cycle! so think i have messed up my cycle big style

aprilgirl you mention that you have only had 1 cycle since coming off pill does this mean that you have already had 1 AF or is this your first AF expected

no i had af when i 1st come off pill just a normal af, and have had nothing since so had one period since stopping pill mid cycle

in which case I would get in at the drs (i know you don't like them, sorry but I think its time). I know it still could be your body get used to being off the pill.. but at the same time you have had one spot on AF and you are experiencing some pg symptoms and no AF get checked out

i shall i might try another pg test quite reluctant to as i had mc previous at about 10 weeks so finding out later would be an ideal solution to me ( bliss no 12 week worry) in an ideal world to me finding out at about 15 weeks would suit me just fine, but being little miss impatient this wouldnt happen. suppose what im saying is that im scared x

22 days late now, cant get appointment with drs untill end off week as im working... this is seriously driving me crazy now!! last time i tested was 2 weeks coming wednesday... should i try again or will it be the same as the result when i was 10days late???????

Sorry to hear you are still non the wiser... if you can't handle the bfn then I would wait until your drs appointment....I do hope you get some news soon. x

no i havent tested as yet getting one tom when i go for our xmas big shop so will let you know, didnt go anywhere last night to get one so there ill be an update thursday morning.... i'm scared!!

When i was pregnant with ds4 I tested with one brand (a pink one, can't remember the name) and they all came out -ve.

I was convinced I was pregnant so I did a Clearblue which immediately showed up +ve! Try a different tester, you may get a different result.

will get clearblue tommorrow i promise!! going late night shopping tonight but with a friend who doesnt know im ttc, so cant get it tonight!!! havent been ill just feeling a bit spewy!! will i still need my morning wee if im 23days late?

Not if you use Clearblue!! I tested the day before af was due and got a bfp!

Most reliable tester imo.
