Hi, Can I join?

I'm failsafe (25) TTC#1 first month of trying!

I found it very scarey to finally decide to just ditch the pill and start TTC.
Its venturing into the unknown I suppose!
We decided to just see how things go for a few months, no OPK's or temping, just carrying on as normal and see what happens.
But I can see I will turn into a crazy symptom spotting lady not far down the line Grin

trope · 03/08/2011 18:42

Hey all!

Congrats to Piggy! and a big raspberry to all the AFs!

Hey carlita - great news about the scan getting booked! So exciting!! If the ante-natal threads are a bit, er, cautious and negative? you should start a

"TTC a 2012 baby - the GRADUATES!"

thread of your own and fill it with happy bouncy excitement!! When (when when when, not if!) I get my BFP I would most certainly join it! :)

Speaking of which, fertility friend has faffed back and forth over my OV day and is currently settled on CD12, which I actually agree with. That means that I am due AF sometime between Saturday and Tuesday (my last few cycles have been a tad erratic). I think we're going to test on either Saturday or Sunday, assuming no AF. Rather excitingly I have had some nausea and sore breasts (and isn't it just a funny world we live in when that's a good thing!) which I never get, so I am getting ever so slightly, very cautiously, optmistic! I had a temp dip over a couple of days and it has started going back up today, so .... who knows!!

More news as it happens! ;)

Welcome newbies by the way! So many people on our thread!! Grin

Evening,

Carlita it's very nice to hear all your pregnancy news. How are you feeling?

Trope fingers crossed for you!!

Welcome to the thread Failsafe, I've not been on this thread long but it is full of very nice people.

How are you feeling today 1sttime?

Twinkle Hope you are ok.

I'm on CD6 today and it seems like the end of next week is ages away. DP will probably be back at work Wednesday but it could be anytime from Monday onwards.

Hope you are all well.

1sttimetryer · 03/08/2011 20:27

Welcome Failsafe Hope your ttc journey is a short one :)

Nice to hear all about your pregnancy Carlita, do keep up updated :)

Im not too bad thanks Kayzr no breast pain anymore, just generally feeling groggy, never been so tired in all my life either. just feeling exhausted. I think ive come up with an idea about what is wrong!!! I am having a phantom pregnancy Grin
you know, like dogs have Grin ha ha!!!
Hmm maybe now but having lots of symptoms of pregnancy and no AF but pregnancy test is negative!!!
How is everyone? All had a nice day?

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 03/08/2011 21:49

Hi all! lovely to have you with us, Carlita! I like trope's idea of a graduates thread (and would love to join it if when I finally get my BFP!)

FX for you trope - sounds promising! keep us posted!

welcome all the new people!!

I had my cd22 blood test result, and it was normal, so I am ov-ing, and it all should work - fx!!

I'm cd4 so just waiting for AF to sod off so this month's SWI can begin. and we're going on holiday on Friday, so very excited (though will be on a boat for the holiday - so that will be interesting.... Hmm)

Kayzr · 04/08/2011 07:14

My clearblue fertility monitor is giving out a high reading!! I'm only on CD7. I was expecting it to stay low until next week.

1sttimetryer · 04/08/2011 08:34

Glad your test results came back to say your ov'ing, thats really possitive news.lots of swi and hopefully you will get your bfp very soon :)
Ooo get swi'ing then kay :) good luck :)

Failsafe · 04/08/2011 12:53

Thanks 1sttimetryer.

I'm hoping I won't be here long (as lovely as you all are)!

AF is due tomorrow so we'll see!

1sttimetryer · 04/08/2011 16:54

Good luck, i really hope AF doesnt come :)
Everyone is lovely here, had some brilliant support from everyone :)

ShonaJG · 04/08/2011 21:56

Been away on course with work this week. Had nice time and took my mind off it.

Its nice to come back and read good news. Well done Piggy! You can't beat a BFP, it's the best feeling in the world :)

Welcome new peeps. There will and shall be many 2012 babies! I was in labour during the last Olympics while Paula Radcliffe the marathon! I'm going for a double whammy!!

Lugsie · 04/08/2011 21:58

Ooooh trope sounds very promising! I know what you mean about the sore boobs - every month I'm poking mine wishing they were sore... I'm sure now that any pain in them is from all the poking and nothing to do with af being due!

Welcome to the thread failsafe! Smile

Great news wouldbe, hope you have a lovely holiday!

Hope you get an answer soon 1sttime - keeping my fx for a BFP for you.

Aww sorry you're not enjoying the antenatal thread carlita - stick around here and keep us all updated on your pregnancy - hopefully won't be too long before we can all join you! Smile

Kayzr · 04/08/2011 22:02

Just popping on to say I'm off for the weekend. Going to Brighton for a romantic weekend and to see some family. My SIL is about 23 weeks pregnant so I'm sure the broodiness will get lots worse.

Hope there are some BFPs when I get back. Have lovely weekends everyone.

1sttimetryer · 05/08/2011 06:45

Morning All

Hope you have a lovely romantic weekend Kayzr

Lugsie i know you would love sore boobs because it means you could be pregnant, but believe me you dont want them either cos they hurt Grin luckily my sore boobs have gone now but i was crying in pain!!! felt like a fat man was standing on my chest!!!!
Im hoping i get either BFP or AF soon, this waiting is crap! cd60 now!! everyone else has had 2 AF's by now and i havent even had one!!!

Glad the course took your mind off things Shona its nice when you can completely forget about it all, i never realised how stressful ttc was, think i was pretty ignorant to it all tbh!

Hope you all have a lovely friday, and a fab weekend, lets hope theres some BFP's over the weekend :)

Carlitawantsababy · 05/08/2011 07:20

1sttime I don't know how you cope with those crazy cycles, hats off to you, my goodness!
lugsie the march thread I set up is good again now, we have a small friendly group, I've stopped posting on the main march thread as it's like the monthly conception buses on here, gets rammed with so many people that it seems they're just ignoring each other and posting about themselves, something we've never done on Weimy's lovely thread, people get welcomed and responded to! Grin
I will set up TTC a 2012 baby - the graduates for everyone and eagerly await your arrival!
Good luck to all those SWI ing this weekend (or land or sea) enjoy it and make it count! Wink

Carlitawantsababy · 05/08/2011 07:26

New thread - CHECK! Grin

Kayzr · 05/08/2011 07:35

Thats a good idea Carlita. I'm on an ante-natal thread which started as a conception one, then an ante-natal one and is now a mix of all 3. There are a few trying, a few pregnant and some with babies. We're all great friends and we've met up a few times now.

I'm trying to pack for the weekend. Hope it's sunny!!

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 05/08/2011 08:12

packing to head off for a week.
great to have a graduates thread carlita - hope I can join you soon! I'd miss all of you if I had to leave the bus as soon as a BFP turned up!
thanks for the good wishes Lugsie
see you all when we get back, and FX for lots of lovely BFPs for you all!! Smile

PiggyMad · 05/08/2011 08:38

Hi ladies,

1st time - my goodness, cd60?! Hope you get either bfp or af soon!
Good luck for bfps and lots of swi for lugsie and shona
wouldbe and kayzr- hope you both enjoy your trips away.
Hope af stayed away for you failsafe
Fingers crossed for everyone else and apologies if I've missed anyone Blush

I'm tentatively stepping over to Carlita's thread - af due today or tomorrow so let's hope she stays away. Did another FR test on Weds and was darker than the first so fingers crossed.

MammaInTheMaking · 05/08/2011 09:45

Sounds like this ones a little sticky one piggy!! Amazing news!

AF is now 1 day late. Got my fingers crossed she's gona be 9 months late! I'll test on Monday if she's still not here.

Happy weekend to all you lovely ladies!

PiggyMad · 05/08/2011 09:59

Thanks mama
You're so good waiting to test! I'm a bit of a POAS-aholic Blush
Fingers crossed the witch stays away for you

trope · 05/08/2011 10:03

lugsie - lol, i'm exactly the same! I rarely get sore breasts with AF so when I get even the merest hint of soreness I'm there prodding and poking trying to work out what's what!! Amazed I haven't given myself bruises in my quest for symptoms!!

That being said, I actually most definitely have sore boobs right now - don't even need to poke them to know - they ache! They never ache! I ended up taking my bra off yesterday evening as soon as I got home as it was so uncomfortable!

And stranger than that, and this is going to sound super odd I know, they are bigger than normal. I thought I was losing the plot when I noticed, but DP has had a good feel (so selfless of him Wink) and he agrees, and as he put it "he is the expert on my breasts after all"!!!

I am nauseous in the morning. My gums are sore when I brush my teeth. I have a weird achy, full sensation where I normally get cramps pre-AF. I am peeing every five bloody minutes. My temp dipped down below the coverline briefly and has come back up.

I know I say this every month (because I am an optimistic fool!!) but I actually, honestly really truly do think that I might be pregnant this month. I just have a feeling. (And in writing that I just know that i'm going to be proved wrong, but fuck it!)

We're going to test tomorrow morning, CD26, which strangely enough is when ff suggests I test as well. My cycles have been quite wobbly recently, but I reckon CD26 is about when i'm due on, so assuming no temp drop tomorrow, I reckon we're safe to POAS!

DP and I keep randomly grinning at each other, then telling ourselves off for getting our hopes up (again)... but it is very exciting! I was planning on waiting till Sunday to POAS, till I was more "late", but I will actually go completely doolally if I have to wait that long!

So fingers crossed I will shortly be joining Carlita's graduates thread!! (Because the thought of having all these "signs" and no BFP is waaaay too depressing! I mean, what else causes your breasts to randomly grow aged 32?! Nothing good, surely!)

1sttime - wow - CD60 - fingers, toes and everything crossed for you! Sounds like a hellish wait!

Kayzr - well the sun is shining here in Hove and it's looking like it's going to be a pretty nice weekend down here! You chose a good spot for a weekend away! Hope you have a lovely time! :)

wouldbe good luck! When you say a boat, do you mean canal barge? Yacht? Cruise liner? Row boat?? Wink have lots of fun rocking it, whatever size boat it is!!

failsafe fingers crossed AF hasn't arrived!!

Thanks all for the fingers crossed/luck - I'll be sure to update you all tomorrow!!

OP posts:
1sttimetryer · 05/08/2011 10:18

Poas trope im soo desperate to find out if ur pg :)
Lol at rocking the boat!!!
On my phone at work so will write a proper message to everyone then! Does anyone record their temp? I started doing in a couple of months ago on ff, told me today that i ov'd 3 days ago, do you think thats accurate?

trope · 05/08/2011 10:50

LOL! 1sttime There is a test in the cupboard ready for tomorrow, but i'm determined to wait until DP is here so we find out together! Is agonising waiting though! Might get up rather early tomorrow methinks!! Wink

I chart - daily temps, CM, random other symptoms etc! I use fertility friend too - you can see my chart here if you're interested. It often moves my ovulation day about by 2-4 days in the week following ovulation - so I mainly try and listen to my body instead now and not worry too much about which day exactly FF counts as OV day. After all, no harm in having lots and lots of SWI just to cover all the bases now is there?! Grin

(Of course it's easy for me to say that - as my cycles only range from 25-28ish days, which is rather easier to cope with than your 60 day long cycle!)

Looking back on the thread you posted that you had cramps on 1st August - so 4 days ago - could they have been ovulation pains? My first few cycles post coming off the pill I had ovulation pains the day before I ovulated. I don't really have any experience with v long cycles, but I gather it is possible to just miss a period and go onto another ovulation cycle - so perhaps that is what has happened with you?

OP posts:
Carlitawantsababy · 05/08/2011 11:20

You are good mama! Smile
Yay trope I'm so excited for you I may be getting up very early in the morning! Grin

trope · 05/08/2011 11:36

carlita - lol!! Now I have to get a BFP so people aren't waking up early for nothing! You hear that body? - I want a BFP!! A BFP damnit! Wink

You know, i'm not normally a big soft sod, but this thread is just lovely - I'm so glad I've got people here I can share my obsessing with - weimy - if you're still out there lurking, you started a truly lovely thread filled with awesome people! I hope things are going well for you out in real life - TTC or otherwise!
