That's it really. Nausea, sore boobs, no af, no spotting.

Also had an ultrasound on day 19 this month (secondary infertility checks) and it showed I ov'd and good lining thickness.

Mind is going into overdrive concerned about ectopics / cancer etc.

What would you do? (have done 6 tests over the last 12 days - bfn)

hi. im in imilar boat. i would ait another few days, test again, if bfn go see gp for bloods. its unlikely to be anything iffy, hae googled excessively and its usually just a long cycle or a cyst which resolves by itself. xx

RetroMaggie · 12/05/2011 10:44

thanks Dreaming. Do you feel rough too?

Hi Retro I am keeping my fingers crossed you just have a shy bean who is not ready to say hello yet!

I think ectopics still show up as BFPs so I wouldn't worry that a BFN means you might have one ... and, if your fertility checks have been anything like mine (TTC #1 and just about to start IVF), I'd say if there was anything more sinister going on, they would most probably have picked up on in by now.

When is the latest you could have ovulated? You could just have had a late ov, a late implantation and be exceptionally good at processing HCG so need to wait a bit longer for it to register a BFP.

Can you make an appointment with your GP for a blood test?

Sending you a calming Brew and keeping FX for you,

Smile

All the best with your IVF, my dd was as a result of IVF (2nd attempt). Last yr I conceived naturally ending in mc and now this.
I didn't know you could process HCG - though I can feel myself clinging to that in false hope!
The ultrasound showed I'd ov'd on or before the 26th April.

Hi ... so, if I've done my calendar counting right, let's assume you ovulated on the 26th and that your embryo implanted at the latest DPO within the "normal" range, that would mean implantation on the 8th May and some pg ladies don't show a BFP until up to a week after that ... which would be the 15th.

Obviously keeping my fingers crossed that that's the case!

A consultant I was seeing for clomid (didn't work!) said that the body converts HCG to progesterone so the levels you need to create a BFP vary in the early stages of pg depending on how efficiently that happens, especially the urine based ones.

Really hope you get your BFP soon Smile

Thanks Pixie
Oh I so want you to be right!!
I had the vaguest of bfps a week ago (the kind that was half an hour after the test and had to be dismantled to see a tiny blue sliver when held in the sunlight Blush). Today I had absolutely nothing yet feel more pg than I did then. Frustrated though a little less scared thanks to all these lovely supportive posts.

I'm wondering if I've had an early mc and it is refusing to budge. (seem to have got my pessimistic hat on)

Hi
Are you testing with first morning urine? Also, if you drink a lot of fluid like I do it can dilute things. Mine normally take a while to show up - sometimes a week after af is due. Hope you get your answer soon.

RetroMaggie · 12/05/2011 17:54

Am I allowed to admit to drinking less so my pee is more concentrated Blush
This is driving me bonkers.

Hi retro i totally understand. Im now 7 days late, peeing on sticks every day and generally driving myself round the bend. Going by gardenpixies dates above i could maybe have two more days to show a bfp- a little hope? or just ssetting myself up for a big fall?
I feel good. I had sore nipples for the first few days after af late, then nausea for a couple of days, now feel fine. Had a teeny dot of bright red blood on wiping today, but nothing else. Baffled

DreamingOfABump · 13/05/2011 12:01

AF finally got me, 8 days late. Had a feeling it was game over because all the symptoms disappeared. Maybe I had a little egg but it didnt develop properly. Onwards and upwards, it was only our first month & we have lots of time to make another super egg!

gardenpixie · 13/05/2011 19:38

Sorry dreaming Sad

Your last cycle was obviously just a practice, here's to this one being the real thing Grin

RetroMaggie · 15/05/2011 08:25

Sorry Dreaming.

I'm spotting and crampy, hoping it is start of af so I can get on with normality.

Oh Dreaming I'm so pleased that you finally know where you stand and you can start again at CD1 and put all the stress of this cycle behind you. Sorry it wasn't the outcome you wanted.

DreamingOfABump · 15/05/2011 18:51

thanks all :)

RetroMaggie · 17/05/2011 11:40
