TTC on Clomid

Hi Everyone

I know i have done a thread before but i didn't really get much responce and i need a bit of a pick me up after AF arrived Saturday.

Being trying to comceive #2 since October 2009 and on clomid i started my 3rd course which they have now doubled to 100mg yesterday.

Any stories???

Hi emma - so sorry to hear about the AF. I am also on clomid, first cycle, cd15. Had my second scan today and have been given a syringe to inject in my belly this evening...argh. Hope all goes well. After that, 2ww...! Do you ovulate naturally?

I do ovulate but not high i feel with my boy within 3 months 3 years ago. I dont have scans as i do ovulate i had a blood test on the 1st month but that was it
What dosage are u all on?

Hi minx - the first scan on day 11 wasnt great and i had to go back for another one on day 15. I had one mature follicle at 22mm - nothing else. The injection should now trigger ovulation - i normally ovulate naturally but this is to time intercourse this evening and tomorrow. Fingers crossed. How about you - where are you in your cycle? And did you have any follicles on the first clomid cycle?

Thats what i was on then they upped it to 100 after 2 months which i started at the weekend day 2 - 6 aswell

Best of luck to you emma - did you ovulate naturally? I am hopeful - i feel that i am finally doing something after 12m of trying but so many people keep saying to me that clomid doesnt really work,its just the step before iui and ivf...but i am trying not to believe them

If you put clomid in the search bar on here u will see lots of success storys i dont think i will get ivf as i already have a little one i ovulated 24 without clomid 96 with it

I see - so they upped your dosage even if you ovulated. My doc said that since i ovulate he will keep my dose at 50 mg even if this cycle isnt succesful but that with the ovidrel injection they are sure about ovulation. I had bad cramps today so i am sure i am ovulating! Sounds like you wldnt get ivf this time around - lets keep our fingers crossed on clomid then?!

Yh i hope it works been trying since october 2009 getting married in June would b lovely 2 get married pregnant.
My doctor said when she gave me 1st lot that she will double it if it doesn't work

hello :D

22mm is pretty good, u got a good chance there,,,when i did scan last month on 100mg, didnt have any dominant follecule which measures above 10.5 mm,,,so odc said i wont ovulate (but i ovulate without taking any meds)...

anywyas it turned out that doc was wrong and i did pvulate on CD22-23,,,and due to my shorl LP, or may be cause egg wasnt that mature , no luck for us

so this time taking 150mg,,

lets hope it goes great for all of us and this time we all conceive :D

ive noticed that since i started taking 150mg my CM has decrease...and ive read robitussin helps...unfortunately its not available in my country,,,so feeling beaten :(

Hope yous don't mind adding to your conversation. I am desperately looking for people in the same boat as me as its a scary time. Iv just been given clomid to take for my next three cycles and its really good to see what i can expect from it.
I've read everything and anything on the internet but its totally different to getting real peoples stories.
I just want, like you a little pick me up, to be able to smile again xxx

Minx what is robitussin?
Mrslouknowles i have taken 3 months of clomid now 2 months on 50mg and last month on 100mg

Emmaloupolman, how did you find it? any bad side effects or anything? Im on 50mg like you and then up to 100mg if it doesnt work

robitussin is apparently a cough syrup,,hehe but the active ingredient guaifenesin in it helps to increase in CM

mrsloukknowles,,,this is my 2nd round an i have not much side effect except this decrease in CM,,it happened cause of increase i n dosage,,,

Thank you everyone. Im wondering whether its worth trying some of this guaifenesin? Off to chemist to buy some cough medicine tomorrow then!
Iv never heard of it before but im open to anything!!

yes its the safest med u can take to increase ur CM,,remember the ONLY active ingrediant must be guaifenensin...say this to the chemist

ive been to numerous sites,,,and those who have taken this has related their successful stories,,,,and while u r on it google it and see :)
