Hi all my festive mates!!

Yes we are getting festive early Slinksanta, but I thought it might cheer everyone up I am certainly in a festive mood!!

Loving the names BTW Mincepee - Isn't your name what the Queen would say " Mincepee antone?" hehee!!

What you all been up to this cold and foggy morning (is in Kent anyway) apert from chosing crimbo names?

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 12:58

I'm TTCing Carlychristmas! Well, kind off, y'know, now we have ditched the condoms!!

mumswish · 21/11/2005 13:00

Me not ttcing (yet)

I GOT MY HOUSE!!!!!

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 13:01

CONGRATS mums!! Well done!! Is there much of a chain?

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 13:04

No chain at all,

We've just got to sort out mortgage and we're in! (after we've decorated and stuff, prob won't be till new year)

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 13:06

Don't hold your breath Mums. Sorry to put a downer on things but solicitors really drag their feet with conveyancing so don't be too disappointed if you aren't in by Xmas. Remember it is less than 5 weeks away. I hope you do manage it but don't worry too much if you don't get a completion date til in the new year

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 13:09

Doesnt bother us, we wont be moving in till at least a month after getting keys. We've got to put new capets in and DF wants to take the bath out and put in a shower instead so not really a rush. But you know (I'm so impatient)

By the By.... like my xmas name?

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 13:12

Love it mums!! Very festive

Sorry I didn't mean to sound all mean and "bah! Humbug" (ah-hah! Another crimbo link!!) but didn't want you being disappointed if things didn't move very fast.

And why would DF want to get rid of the bath!! NO BATH!!! I would go mad! Not being able to have a long soak....

carlychristmas · 21/11/2005 13:33

well done mums!!
SH what cd are you on? i stopped bleeding after m/c and had an af bleed i think (iykwim) so i am on roughly cd4 not sure if it was a def af or continuation of m/c but its worth a go. does anyone have any advice for signs that im ov, i dont really want to spend a lot of money on ov tests are there natural ways?

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 13:36

Carly - I'm on CD 21 but doubt very much if I am PG. Not even going to consider testing unless I am more than a week late.

As far as natural indicators of OV are concerned, the best one in my book is EGCM (egg white cervical mucus). If you notice more discharge that is similar to egg white in consistency (sticky and stretchy) then you may well be OVing. I use that as a guide, along withthe fact I normally have an achy feeling and sometimes a pain in one side.

carlychristmas · 21/11/2005 13:43

SH im with you on the not testing i wont test at least not two days after af is due (well ill try anyway )

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 13:48

I've decided that I didn't test with my 3 til way after I was due (DS1 was 5 weeks when I found out I was PG, nearly 5 weeks with DS2 and 6 weeks with DS3) so I would rather wait with any more. Can't afford the early tests anyway, so will have to wait til I'm overdue to buy a cheaper test

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 13:50

SH - Dont worry about being bah humbuggy. DF Wants bath out cos its quite cramped in there and a shower would give LOADS of room

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 14:00

Ooooh, i couldn't do without a bath! What happens when you are PG though! You'll miss a bath then! Can't you rearrange the room?

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 14:06

I've tried to persuade him but he's stuck on it! LOL

I was thinking of getting one of those bath shower things, (kinda like an old persons bath) where you sit in it but its still a shower! IYKWIM

jinglediddle · 21/11/2005 14:15

mumsxmaswish - can't you have a shower fitted over the bath, we have that rather than a seperate shower and it works fine, i would be lost without a bath, plus if you're getting a doggy it will be nice to have one to bath the dog too

babybellsajinglin · 21/11/2005 14:15

Hi everyone.......the bath conversation is intriguing! I would never give up bath, not just for me but what about babies when they come along??

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 14:16

Tell DF, mums, that if he rips out your bath we will come and linch him!! tell him DO NOT REMOVE BATH!!!

Stockinghanger · 21/11/2005 14:17

And old people bath/shower thing WTF!!! NO WAY!!!! YOU ARE NOT OLD!! NO NEED FOR THAT!!! KEEP THE BATH!!!

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 14:18

I dont want to give up the bath. I've said lets put shower over the bath but...... the room is actually a bit too small for the bath, I'm still working on it tho

jinglediddle · 21/11/2005 14:20

you stick to your guns, mumsxmaswish - you will need that bath in years to come. its your house too, if you're not happy you tell him!!

babybellsajinglin · 21/11/2005 14:21

you can buy wee baths which may fit better and you could still have a shower over. The old peoples bath idea can be really cool, I know designers who have done that and looks really good, just dont' get the one with the door and the hoist to get you over the edge

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 14:22

he he, visions of a little hoist trying to get my bulk over the bath now!!** he he

I'm soooo excited

jinglediddle · 21/11/2005 14:23

surely an old folks bath like this would still be impractical for a child or a dog!

you chain yourself to that bath mums and don't back down

mumsXMASwish · 21/11/2005 14:28

Yeh thats not too good, I'll have a look and see if I can find something
