So are you supposed to lie still for ages after SWI?

Never TMI on a conception thread! Do you keep still after SWI? I'm worried about the swimmers leaking out but not quite sure how long to lie there for! What about when you need a wee? How far up there do they go...?

NO.

You do not need to lie there, bum on pillow, legs in the air etc etc.

I know it seems like a lot comes out and you'd be helping by lying there and giving it chance but good, strong swimmers know how/where to go. And from the moment of ejaculation. A sperm that is going to produce a healthy pregnancy doesn't need the help of gravity. Your body only expels what it doesn't need.

Get up and go for a wee after sex. It prevents cystitis by flushing out any bacteria around and just inside the urethra that was introduced by having sex. It's a GOOD idea.
