Hi cherrychoo So sorry to hear your troubles, I'm pretty sure you should be given some help from your GP after a year of trying.

There is information in the Conception section on here called 'problems getting pregnant' which might help as gives you an idea of what tests etc your GP should offer.

If I was you I would go back to see them, I'm not saying anything is necessarily wrong but best to put your mind at rest so you can focus your attention on TTC.

Wish you the best of luck and really hope you get your BFP soon Smile

Have you got any other DC? How long did it take you to concieve with them? How old are you? x

I wouldnt wait another minute to start investigating fertility treatment. You are 40 yrs old, and your GP should be taking that into account.

I know how you feel - I'm on month 15 of TTC number 2 and am beginning to lose hope - if it was going to happen at all wouldn't it have happened by now?! Just starting blood tests etc at docs but feeling quite hopeless about it all at the mo.

Bexamundo · 13/03/2011 17:48

I would push for blood tests and sperm analysis and ask for a fertility referral in the mean time! If your Gp still doesn't help go seek a second opinion. good luck!

cherrychoo · 13/03/2011 17:53

Thanks, its the feritlity experts that dont seem to be concerned as all bloods are normal. I do ovulate apparently.

DH's sperm also normal.

sigh, what can you do if the fertility experts tell you to keep going.

FWIW pinkcustard the fertility lady told me to have every faith and to have every optomism that we will concieve as we have a 63% chance at age 40 and one of her patients is 47 and half way through her pregnancy. Grin

That's reasuring - some days I feel like it's just never going to happen for us and then others I'm quite optimistic and think it's just a waiting game and it'll eventually work out. We're in the process of having tests done so if nothing else it keeps me occupied as the weeks roll by.

It's good news that all your tests came back ok, and like your consultant said, all you can do is keep going and it'll happen.
