OP posts:

Yes diege i too feel like its been for ever.Glad you re feeling sickly Grin I m 5+1 now !!!Bloody hell......Hmm.Mantra to self: Stop moaning.I m trying not to concentrate on remembering dates etc.....Don t want to drag it all out too much.

Just booked a little spa break for me and Ant in 3 weeks time. Also booked a nice little manicure/pedicure party for 3 of my closest friends to thank them for their support. Also trying to wrap up Georgie's story but theres so much to tell.I need a million words for Georgie alone, i was advised about 4000 words well over that.Confused

Diege · 10/03/2011 12:18

So our due dates must be quite close? (mine 9/11)
I meant to say Louise that doing Georgie's story is such am amazing thing to do - so many others will benefit from your words. Would it be something we could read on MN, or is it just available from the collection you're writing for?

louisesh · 10/03/2011 13:39

Its going to be published in a book to be stocked and sold by Amazon for SANDS.So yes i ll let you know when its out.SmileThink my due date is about middle of November but if i progress i ll be havein GBOS Middle of October funnily enough about a week after Georgie's birthday. This seems to be very common when i ve read about stillbirths a lot of siblings are born around their sibling's birthday.

Have you rung EPU yet?

Diege · 10/03/2011 13:44

Thanks Louise will def buy a copy Smile.
No, not rung EPU yet - thought I'd get past the time of last mc first (this weekend ish) and then ring on Monday. I feel nervous just writing it down - half of me just wants to keep plodding on, but if there is something not right it's better (for me) to find out. Can't think beyond that (ie, about screening etc later on just yet - veer from not haveing any tests (as with dc4) or going super-mad and booking into fetal medial centre at 12 weeks for the works Confused

lolfactor · 10/03/2011 14:22

Moan alert!

I woke up at 5.30 this morning in a raging sweat (literally - just like they say for the menopause) with deflated boobs and a flat stomach. Since ovulation they'd been growing and tingling and my tummy cramping. This morning back to normal. I cried, hit the pillow, cried again and had to be consoled by a deeply disappointed dp who had his 'empathy' hat on (he's read Men are from Mars). It was all over before it had even begun. We were both pretty low.

This lunchtime: tingling, cramping. AAARRRGGG. Perhaps I have got the 'Take a Break' twin ovulation, Diege. Then again - perhaps I should GET A LIFE and stop noticing all these twinges.

Moan stops - Lol goes and gets the chocolate box and offers them disconsolately round, remembering to offer grapes instead to Italian and not drop crumbs on Hippy's carpet.

Curlylox · 10/03/2011 14:46

tina looks like I'll be joining you with late ovultaion...fingers crossed.

OP posts:
BeattieBow · 10/03/2011 15:26

hi all, haven't been around much - nothing to report, waiting for af to go and swi time to come.

taking clomid and have to have a scan tomorrow to check that not too many follicles are growing. I'm presuming I'll be told to hold off swi if they are, or risk a multiple birth Shock. Then again it's difficult to miss a month at my age.

jolls fingers crossed for you - any signs yet?

Lol I think agree with what others have said - it's more likely that your body geared up for ovulation and then didn't rather than you ov'ing twice (according to St Toni anyway).

Tina hopefully ovulation is just a bit late.

as for me cd6, low on the monitor, but starting to eye up random blokes on the train so it's all starting here!

Curlylox · 10/03/2011 16:37

meant ovulation.
bb funnily enough didn't eye up any strangers on the train this month too engrossed in reading the paper, however did fantasise about a voicemail left on my phone at work from a man at our local tennis club (was making enquiries about DD having lessons). He had rather a nice voice don't have a clue what he looks like mind Grin

OP posts:
BeattieBow · 10/03/2011 16:49

I would have thought he'd have nice forearms curly if he plays tennis. I'm partial to a nice muscular and slighly hairy forearm.

of course he could have been a spotty 17 year old youth (albeit with nice forearms) Smile

I did find myself eyeying up someone from work too - these hormones are amazing things aren't they?

Diege · 10/03/2011 18:14

BB I also have a 'thing' about forearms Blush; it's quite common apparently...Curly that phone message sounds like the beginning of a rom-com Wink
BB how are you finding it on the clomid? Are there any side effects? Would youy mind multiples? Sorry, lots of questions, but I've always been fascinated by stories about clomid!Really looking forward to the weekend - am staying in Manchester overnight witha friend and then we are going to see the x-factor tour show on Sunday Grin. Now who was it on here who liked Wagner?? (was it Jolls??)I am also going to make the most of being in the big (for the North) smoke and get my eyebrows done properly (after the last threading disaster I had) and also buy some customised converse from Selfridges. I have it all planned out!

Diege · 10/03/2011 18:15

How did I do the bold there?? Confused

randomimposter · 10/03/2011 18:17

cos you iz preggo and not very clever at the mo Grin

the Wagner joke MUST STOP HERE!!!

Diege · 10/03/2011 19:17

Grin so you are Wagner's 'laydee' then...should I try and get him to sign something for you? Maybe a packet of opks? Wink I am seriously impressed with my memory skills. Now who was it on here who had a brace fitted around the same time as me? Confused

BeattieBow · 10/03/2011 19:38

oh is a thing about forearms common I thought it was just me. but yes, nice manly forearms.

I've never had my eyebrows threaded, but would like to try. Mine are severely bushy at the moment.

No side effects on clomid yet! But I think if I google side effects I may find I have some Smile

I decided not to take Agnus castus at the same time this month - didn't want to go overboard.

and yes, I would probably die of shock if I was pg with twins. the main problem would be though that I have this inexplicable need to have an even number of children. so could I stop if I had twins (nos 6 and 7)??/ (hypothetical question, dh would leave me!)

Curlylox · 10/03/2011 19:57

Threading is fab, would never go back to waxing......ever. My Dh has an unexplicable need to have even numbers when he raids the biscuit tin Confused Right BB so we're hoping for one baby not twins then. I look forward to my two days off (work 3 full days) but wish I was at work to be honest as can't think of nothing else but temping, opk, twinges, cm etc etc it's driving me cccrrrrraaaaaazzzzyyyyyyy aaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhhh

OP posts:
Diege · 10/03/2011 20:10

I agree, threading is brill Curly though the lady who did mine last (in shopping centre, I should have guessed) was a bit overzealous and they came out very thin..only just grown back several mths later.
BB I also have a thing about even numbers (hence 4) but may have to settle for an odd number in total. Can't see me going through all of this again! (if it works out) I would also leave the agnus if I were you; it's not known as nature's clomid for nothing, so can't see why you'd need it on top of the proper stuff.
I also share the biscuit thing with your dh Curly - it feels very unfinished to take either 1 or 3 biscuits (esp one).

randomimposter · 10/03/2011 20:32

interesting... Hmm

I'm odd things in general (as in numbers)... partly it's the old design/display thing, always in odds (3s/5s)... My ideal would be 3 children, that was my naive stooooopid plan when first TTC#2 nearly 2 years ago. But I'd "settle" for 2 now [please, I've been very good] Grin.

I've only had threading in Mauritius - it was great, but I've only had waxing since... there was nowhere locally doing threading in 2006, so I just went back to what I'd always had. Might reinvestigate...

Diege · 10/03/2011 20:33

Meant to say Lol to your earlier post, would deflated boobs etc necessairly mean things hadn't worked out this month? Obviously you know your own body better than I do, but my tummy/boobs inflate/deflate at random throughout the month. Can you be that sure it's bad news? DO you temp at all?

lolfactor · 10/03/2011 21:46

Well, that conversation took my mind off twinges for once. I'd LOVE to try threading, but B'sted's just not geared up for it. The waxing lady made me laugh. She thought that I should try a new hairstyle down there...Seriously. She offered to whip it all off and stick on fake diamonds spelling out dps initials. Shock. Is this all the rage? Have I missed something? She said loads of people have it done. Where've I been? Dp would laugh himself silly before choking on a swarowski crystal.

Sick of twinges, temps and misbehaving boobs. If it was a delayed ovulation, I've only swi'd once. Dps good - but he's probably not THAT good, so I need to take my mind off it. My builder's got lovely forearms...

Isaboo · 10/03/2011 21:58

Lol almost anything can be a pregnancy symptom have just looked up "boobs return to normal" on a two week wait website and found bunch of ladies who cite this as a "symptom" ? at some point so its not necessarily over yet... hang in there Smile .... didn't look up "finding Wagner hot" though or is that for ovulation I am bit confused .....

I am too tired to post more now and its only 9.55pm...yes I know fatigue....and the strange sandwich craving on school run today symptom mania has arrived for sure.

Oh I have a constant battle with eyebrows ....does treading hurt?

Diege · 10/03/2011 22:11

Yes Isaboo I'd say that treading would be very painful Grin. As regards threading, it's pretty constant so while the actual removal isn't too bad, the fact that there's no respite (unlike waxing)makes it a more painful process than the latter for me.
Off to bed now - enjoyed the new 'Monroe' thing on ITV; anyone else watch it?

hopefulgum · 11/03/2011 00:03

Hello, lol thanks for telling me about the wonderful waxing technique de jour! Very funny. Personally, I would find the crystals blimmen annoying, and the regrowth from going bald....Shockdon't think I'd like it. I once did the shave for a boyfriend, many years ago, he was Scottish (not that it means anything in particular), and it was fun for about a day. The itch of regrowth nearly drove me crazy. It's not very ladylike having a good old scratch of the ladybits...

Anyway...back to ttc...I had a "high" on the monitor yesterday, and a "peak" today, which was totally unexpected, as I'm only on CD13 and lately O has been day 15 or 16. So I seduced DH, and will continue to do so over the next couple of days. Would love to have a BFP this time - a Christmas baby would be more than welcome. But also trying to stay relaxed.

My acupuncturist was reassuring me that there is no hurry, and I shouldn't give myself an end date, that it is very reasonable to still get pregnant at 48. However, I still want my LO to have a sibling that isn't too much younger. Hopefully we'll get our take home baby soon, but not going to stress about it.

I'd better run, have to drive DH to work as hid car is in the panel beaters being fixed. He reversed out og the carport and DD2 still had the door open. It wasn't pretty - door not completely off, but very mangled!

Will catch up properly, later...CheersWine

hopefulgum · 11/03/2011 00:04

Sorry, that should say "his" car and "out of"...

TinaO99 · 11/03/2011 08:55

argghhh still on a high this morning and no sign of a peak!! I started taking agnus castus last month, anyone know if this can delay ovulation or extend your cycles somehow?

hippychick66 · 11/03/2011 09:09

All very interesting Hmm....

I like forearms too. I don't notice that i look at random men around ovulation time but then I am married to Mitchell from Being Human so have no need to Wink. Yes I know I used to be married to Simon Baker from The Mentalist (do keep up please).

I had my eyebrows threaded last year and it blinkin' hurt - but looked good. I tend to just pick away with the tweezers by myself. I think the whole jewels on your bits thing (called vagazzle) comes from the only way is essex (I did NOT watch it but the girls at work did and some of them even went to the sugar hut in essex recently).

All of you must stop symptom spotting immediately - right that's them told.

Thanks lol for worrying about my carpets - at least you are bothered (unlike the gypsies).

jolls yes, you have been good and unbelievably patient - you deserve your No. 2 my love.

I had refelxology yesterday (CD8). First time for ages. I told her that both times I got pregnant at aged 43 was when she had tweaked my ovaries (via my feet) - so no pressure there then. I know that neither of those pregs worked out but at least she did encourage egg and sperm to merge and implant (maybe???) and it's not her fault they weren't the right eggs. I also find that reflexology works well on my constipation ..... but that's a different story Blush

Love to diege and lou - hang on in there on the bench - I'm coming to join you soon Wink
