really strange cycle - any insights? lots of TMI

for last 2 years or so, I have been ovulating quite early, about cd 12-14, and have a regular 13.5 day lp. I can always tell when I'm about to ovulate (ewcm, cp, sore bb's, bad ovulation pain) but last cycle, I had no symptoms at all not even ewcm, so I went by temps and when AF arrived that turned out to be accurate, at CD 21. fast forward to this cycle. I started ewcm at cd9 which is my usual pattern for last 2 years. Then carried on, and finally got a +ve opk (last one in packet) on cd 14, had all my usual symptoms and major ovulation pain on CD15, which was Tuesday this week just gone. Thing is, I'm still having major ovulation pain now, its been going on and off for 6 days now, and my CP still indicates fertile and CM is wierd. I have never had this in all my 11 years of charting and I havent a scooby doo what my body is doing. Does anyone have any insight or has had this happen to them?

Could it be that your body is trying to ovulate but is not quite managing it? This can happen with stress, travelling, etc.

maybe someone else will have better insight than me, but that's my suggestion!

That only happened to me when I was pregnant.

But the opks only show the hormonal surge, they don't prove ovulation. So maybe there was a surge at day 14 but no egg released and now you're having another surge.

I don't know what the pattern is with an anovulatory cycle, but assume it would be different from what you're used to. I thought I was having an anovulatory cycle the month dd was conceived as my temps and ewcm were all over the place.
