I love Chris Evans (I know, I am a bit strange) but if he was my husband I would KILL him for talking about it on his show this morning!

However, it was nice to hear all the texts from people in the same boat, and those who have had sucess!

Would you be happy with your DS/DP being that public with friends and family?

I love him too and did think it was a bit odd - but like you it is nice to hear that other people have some difficulties too - especially with all these 'celebs' popping out babies all the time.

However - I love the ginger ninja so would pretty much forgive him everything :)

I'm not a fan of his but I think being open about it is good and it makes people more aware. There have been so many celeb pregnancy announcements that i think it is easy to forget there are people that do have troubles. So well done Chris!!
I'm quite open about things with my friends but I understand that other people might want to keep things more private. Having said that i'm not sure I would want my business broadcast on the radio!!!

Well I'd hope he has Natasha's ok to say it.

But if he has then I don't see why not... actually I think telling people takes the pressure off when people are asking 'so going to try for another?' , 'when's little so and so going to get a brother or sister then?'. Maybe they've been asked a lot and he's fed up with the questions!

You make a good point IslandIlsa and angster

I get a bit fed up with people asking me why we "only have one".

"Feck of and mind your own buisness" doesn't always go down very well!!! Wink

I think it's great that he's being open about their troubles, most of those in the public eye are keen to portray the idea that their other half just had to look at them and they fell pregnant. I know that a pregnant celeb at the moment conceived her baby through assisted conception, as she was having treatment at an ivf clinic at the same time as me and I saw her and her hubby there, but has made no mention of this. I know it's really personal thing, but hats off to Chris Evans, myleene klass and Penny lancaster, who have all been very open about their struggles to conceive recently.

I seem to remember reading that Chris Evans and his wife suffered an ectopic pregnancy last year and she lost a tube, so am guessing that might be why they are maybe having problems. Wish them the best of luck. I wonder which doctor she was off to see today.

I missed Chris Evans today (courtesy car with no radio!), but I love him for being honest about himself. I hope it all works out for him.

I am a total bigmouth, so if I were in his shoes I would probably be blabbing to all-and-sundry too (I just don't have a national radio platform!).

I have a lot of time for Chris Evans, although not really a fan as such as I never listen to his programme.

I presume he talked to his wife before going public with their troubles TTC. I think it's admirable of him to talk about it, particularly as it being in the public eye, his admission will be comforting to other people in the same situation and maybe (hopefully) a salutary lesson to the kinds of gobshites who ask stupid questions about when people are going to have babies.
