Go on madgirl - go and get one!
At least you'll know one way or the other!

Alot of people say they get period type pains when AF is due even when they are pregnant!

Go on pppppllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 12:48

Posts crossed Mollymay!

Yes you can still have period pains and be pregnant - some people even have periods and are still pregnant!

They might not necessarily be period pains - if you are pg, the pains could be your tummy muscles stretching......................keep your fingers crossed!

If your on day 36 and your cycles are usually 37/38 days you can test soon........make sure you test straight away so you know - if it's bad news you can get starting straight away then!

Good luck everyone - cannot wait for next Monday when i can test

mollymay · 29/09/2003 13:04

jemma7 - not sure I want to try again if I fail this time..see my new thread "what's he up to?"

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 13:35

Have seen your thread Mollymay - Have u rang the number?

madgirl · 29/09/2003 14:05

molly may have also read your thread. how are you feeling (if that is not a stupid question)
jemma7 you won't believe this - was just in Boots with colleague as she wanted to get sth and i even picked up a preg test but didn't buy it. i am so terrified of that disappointment. keep avoiding going to toilet - what ridiculious behaviour from a 37 yr old! I HAVE lower back pain too so am convinced af is on the way and i never got a surge...........

sorry about that

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 14:30

Oh Madgirl - WHYYYYYYYY?

I know how you feel but honestly, surely you are best off knowing one way or the other.

Go back to boots and buy one - if you have the facilty get your tests from early pregnancy website its much cheaper in the long run!

Oh go on Madgirl - he suspense is killing me!

mollymay · 29/09/2003 14:43

well a bit shocked and teary but the other thread has really cheered me up...

funnily enough I ALSO went and picked up and EARLY RESPONSE test and put it back..not sure I would want to know today with everything else going on plus I'm also convinced I'm not (period pains a plenty)...

niknik · 29/09/2003 16:11

Hi everyone, Ive had awful flu last week and therefore not at work and hence no internet access. Its been a while now since we've had any good news on this thread so I've got my fingers crossed for everybody. I got AF this weekend on Day 26 so I've let the side down as well.

Jems did you not think you ov'd on Day 14 this month? If so could you not test earlier than Monday?

BigBird · 29/09/2003 16:24

wid - we're only trying since Feb and have a 21mth old and doc this week scheduled semen test and bloods. Worth a shot....

Everyone who is due to test in the next week - GOOD LUCK

i've 2 weeks to go

Quackers - are u back ?

Bogwoppit · 29/09/2003 16:40

day 17 so a while B4 I can test!
in agony all last night with toothache.
been to dentist - I have a cracked filling which he has replaced with a temporary one. Still in agony. Have a prescription for Amoxycillin if it is no better in a couple of days.
then back for a normal filling or root canal if infected, but earliest they can fit me in for that is end Oct (& amox is only 5 days worth)

ahhhh

so I'm taking pain killers cos it is killing me now anaesthetic has worn off &then poss antibiotics.
god Ihope I'm not preg really - all that can't be good for it

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 16:47

Yep i did Nik and was very active in the bd'ing dept around that time too but wanted to leave it until Monday as although my periods are between 28 and 38 days the last 3 have been on day 38 whihc will be Monday.

Am trying to wait until then as i will 99% know that if i don't come on before or on Monday then i am pg - I am sooooooooooooooo excited!

I'm int he process of printing the mamas and papas price list of the website so i can price up how much eevrything is going to cost.......................how sad???

Egypt · 29/09/2003 18:41

ooooooo good luck, jemma. hope it works out for you this time. and everyone else of course!

bunny2 · 29/09/2003 20:41

Jemma, really hope this is YOUR month.

MadGirl, you are mad, do the test!!

Good luck to everyone else on this thread.

madgirl · 30/09/2003 09:41

Morning campers
didn't sleep half the night waiting for AF to arrive. have lower back pains and heaviness around uterus (sorry) so still think af imminent. if nothing arrives by tom am i will test i promise. jemma7, surely if you ov'd on day 14 you could test now?

Jemma7 · 30/09/2003 09:57

Tested last night and got a big fat negative!!!!!

AF arrived this morning but am hoping that may only be light or maybe implantation bleeding - probably not but still being hopeful!

Got all upset last night and managed to make DP feel awful too - we just both want this sooooo much byut it seems like it is never going to happen!

niknik · 30/09/2003 10:08

I'm so sorry Jems, know exactly how you feel though, its so frustrating isn't it, when you do everything right at the right time.

lazyeye · 30/09/2003 10:10

Ahhh, sorry Jems. So dissappointing isn't it? Then you just wish you'd waited longer to test...just to delay the dissapppointment really.

I really hope it happens for you soon pet.

madgirl · 30/09/2003 10:11

OH jEMMA7 i have been on this thread for a few weeks now, but reading it for longer and i do so wish this had been your month (still could be as you said). . i think you're fantastic to stay positive also- full of admiration the way you embrace each new month of ov'ing with lots of b'ding! but it all takes over your life without you realising it doesn't it? i am sure your dp understands and won't be upset with you for just being so disappointed.xx

niknik · 30/09/2003 10:27

Jems am I right in thinking that your coming up to a year of ttc. I dont want to speak out of term and I think that you are a lot younger than me (I'm 31 now) but I felt better speaking to my GP about it and now being under a specialist. He might be able to do some simple hormones tests , to put your mind at rest, and like Bogwoppit he should refer you to a Specialist once you have been ttc for a year.

Jemma7 · 30/09/2003 11:58

Yes you are right Nik, we will be up to a year in at Xmas.
However, it is not really a year of TTC, it is a year of coming off the pill - i know that probably doesn't make sense but at first i didn't realise the lengths we would have to go to to get pregnant - thought it would just be a case of coming off the pill and hey presto!

In reality it has probably only been 5-6 months of really really trying!

God, sounds like i'm trying to back peddlle now - just don't want to get ahead of myself and start worrying about things like that when we haven't really been trying probably for all that time!

Bogwoppit · 30/09/2003 12:02

Jemma - sorry to hear AF arrived.

keep trying & if it puts your mind at rest go to doctors.

I feel a little more relaxed now I know steps are being taken to help us on our way.

still think that having a booked a hol abroad for May will make sure I get preg in time to be huge on hol
