If my period ended on Christmas Eve

When exactly is it due again? I am TTC and trying to work out if I am slightly late or whether I have still got a few days to wait before it is due. Sorry for the dumb, basic question but I have never paid that much attention before!

When did it start? From the first day of your lsat period count 28 days. That's the average cycle length. if you follow that rule your next period should start on the 29th day. HTH.

It depends when it started

I can't remember and I thought it was 28 days but my period usually lasts fewer than 5 days so I have still got a few days to wait I think. And I was spectacularly unreasonable last week and it seemed like classic PMT to me!

In that case I'd take the Monday of that week (20th) as a conservative estimate as the start of your period and give it til this Sunday for your 28 days. If you thought you had a surge of hormones last week that could well have been you ovulating.

I went and did a test after I got your first replies and then told DP. So, next question, when does that mean I am due?!! Can you tell maths isn't my strong point?!

Congratulations! That puts you at 5-6 weeks (it's taken from the start of your last period) so you'll be due in September (if my maths is right, I've had a few glasses of wine as I'm pre-mestrual lol)

my last period started on 20th Dec, ended on christmas eve and I'm also pregnant!
I have worked out my due date to be 26th September - if you have a 28 day cycle then yours will be the same, and you are 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant.

Hi Reddaisy, no I havent told anyone yet, except my OH and he doesn't really beleive it yet! Going to wait a while before telling people, so will be our secret for a bit. Yes this is my first - got no idea what to expect from now on!

It is lovely to keep it a secret for a bit but it does make it feel a bit less real, it is so strange not to everyone as soon as you see them. Come and find us in the conception section, I have started a September thread in there and we can support each other.
