How long did it take you to fall pregnant after stopping the pill?

Hi everyone

Well, the evil witch got me this morning and although this was only cycle#1 after stopping the pill, I was really hoping I was pregnant as I'd heard that we could be super-fertile that first month but after that, fertility could decline for several months (from 6 up to 18 I have read somewhere which scared the c*ap out of me!!!).

So, I was wondering what experience you lovely ladies had of this? Have any of you conceived cycle 2,3,4,5 or 6 after the pill?

I was only on the pill for 8 months btw.

I conceived in cycle 2 after being on the pill for 5 years. Try not to scare yourself reading to omany statistics etc, you will drive yourself mad! After 8 months of taking it I imagine your fertility will ressume as usual very soon and don't forget that whether you've been on the pill or not, most people won't get pregnant the first time they try. x

Took me seven months and we weren't actively trying and I have massively irregular cycles. (I found out I'd got pregnant in June and haven't had a period since February)

I'd been on the Pill for about eight years.

I can tell you that I have 5 or 6 friends who got pregnant accidently or within 2 months or so from coming off the pill, some had been on it for as long as 15 years. One friend hadn't had a period in 2 years as she was on some special pill at got pregnant cycle 1.
I have never been on the pill and 9 months on am still trying to conceive!
So I now think perhaps I should have been!!

I came off pill in augast

used alternative contraception until december (when i charted and used OV sticks etc etc) and when we properly tried in December i got pg straight away!
