My ds is now 8 months and was an IVF baby it took us 7 years of IVF and 10 attempts which is why i want to start again soon as it may take a while again. I wondered if any one else was having fertility treatment at around the same time

suss

I had IVF back in April/May which resulted in a pg but unfortunately I m/c at 10 weeks. We had our review appointment last week and just waiting the 3 months recommended to us to try again which should hopefully mean that I will start sniffing synarel around December time. Good Luck with your treatment.

successful · 29/09/2005 21:40

I sniffed my last synarel this evening and and having an FET on Monday afernoon. DS was an IVF/ICSI baby and is 21 mths.

suss · 30/09/2005 10:42

I didn't know you still sniffed - i've always injected there is some fab new stuff which stops you from ovulating so you inject it after you start the hormone injections which means the whole ivf thing is much shorter however i cant for the life of me remember what its called! it will come to me. good luck and keep posting!

Good Luck for Monday.

successful · 30/09/2005 17:04

Thanks girls - was told I had to sniff as very short period of time as last time had the injection but all took much longer.

Good luck to you too wendy11 - its a hard road but don't give up, it is worth it.

Suss - hope things go well for you whichever route you take - do you have frosties?

angelfire · 30/09/2005 18:03

Hello! We have just scheduled our IVF for very beginning of 2006. Start sniffing day 21 of November cycle with day 0 scan scheduled for 3.1.06 and egg collection w/c 16.1.06. This will be our 3rd attempt at ICSI. Cycle 2 resulted in ds now aged 2. Good luck to you all. If anyone wants a cycle buddy please feeel free to contact me

suss · 02/10/2005 20:53

No frosties, as after 10 attempts they tend not to bother freezing any left overs, although I am a mamouth egg producer last time it was about twenty eggs. I was going to wait until Jan for next IVF but feel like I am getting old and would desperately like to have a sibling for ds. I did want a huge family but we discovered problems so I will be v happy with ds and ecstatic if we have any more! Good luck to everyone and keep posting

Hoping to try again in November. DS (now 4) is an ICSI baby conceived on 1st attempt - we were so lucky. For various reasons haven't tried again but are hoping to in Nov. Was also told whole protocol much shorter now. Am 41 so need to be getting on with it!

Good luck everyone!

suss · 06/10/2005 21:31

monstersmum keep in touch perhaps we could be cycle buddies? I don't know when my cycle will start exactly but it should be ariund the second week of nov all being well and if I get the go ahead from my consultant. I was pregnant 1st attempt at icsi too but had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. we got lucky eight attempts later (10th attempt). I am praying that I get pregnant a little quicker this time!

suss · 22/10/2005 20:01

good luck succesful - I am going to see my consultant on wednesday about doing ivf cycle. Its all scary and exciting at the same time. Want so badly to get pg quicker than last time! ;)

OP posts:
successful · 24/10/2005 18:27

suss - I hope it is quicker for you this time round, 7yrs and 10 attempts is loads, I wish you all the luck and please keep us informed.

suss · 27/10/2005 08:54

Saw consultant yesterday - did you know you have to have hiv hep b and hep c tests by law before having ivf and they don't believe you if you are married! I was alittle outraged. I saw a different consultant - mine was away ill and they had lost my notes so I think I have just paid £100 for a consultation in which and I didn't even come away with a prescription.
