3 twp's on 9dpo or evaps - what do you think?

Hi,

I tested yesterday and got a really pink streaky twp (teeny weeny positive) at 8dpo, tested again this morning and was nothing (however i do get up to pee during the night) anyway i held on for 6-7 hours today and did one when i got home from shopping and it was really a super concentrated sample and got a postive of the IC i used but did a superdrug one as backup and it was negative.

I have had evaps before as ive been ttc for about 9 months now and its usually when the background of the test goes pink and streaky but i still had the sample so i dipped a couple more IC's in and they both came up with a twp too. One of them was again quite pink and streaky but i think this is due to the sample being so strong but the last one is a fairly clearish faint pink line. I have uploaded the photos - unfortunately im not sure you can see them in the the pics because the photo isnt very big but they are there on each of them.

Because im such a terrible poas addict and have no patience whatsoever i did another sample about half an hour later and it was negative. Im not really sure what to think - i dont think you would get three lines that were evaps off the same sample (i could understand if it was one as ive had this happen a couple of times in the last few months and its really disappointing) and maybe the last one i did the sample was probably not strong enough ... i dunno, well actually i do, ill have to wait till tomorrow or the day after i know but im just so impatient to know!

Um, to be honest I can't see anything. But prob just cos of the photo. You know what I'm going to say...9dpo, you crazy woman! Wait a few days!

Lol i know, i know - those are crappy photos too but there is definately three lines there - i am getting up early tomorrow and going to Sainsbo's to take my mind off of things, whilst im gone am going to get DH to put the remaining hpt's under lock and key till Monday!

I had the 'super sensitive' ones from e bay meant to predict well before a missed period. I didnt get anything for ages then the day before my missed period it was a very very faint pink line. I knew a line was a line but DH was not convinced. The next morning I used a sainsbury's own test and it was a thick red line instantly. Wait till the day you are due on (I know you wont be able to I was a poasa as well and tested EVERY DAY for a week before I was due on) and use another brand of test that way you can be sure. It does look to me like a very faint line you know and if it is then a line is a line... Fingers crossed for you! :-)

As a former poas addict (from about 1dpo some months ) I had to post.
My most recent (and sadly final) pregnancy came after 36 months ttc. I always tested super early, knowing that I'd get negative results, but just hoping that maybe I wouldn't. On this last occasion, I tested with fmu 7 days early and got a negative (at about 7am). By lunchtime I was feeling a bit odd, so tested with a first response and got a weak positive. By 4pm I was desperate to test again and used a Boots 4 day early test and got a positive.
My twins arrived in July!!
So, it IS posssible to get a postive result very, very early. I think I can see a faintly pink line on your pics, I really hope you get the result you want tomorrow.

Even fainter line this morning but dh could see it. Hopefully by tommorow it will be stronger though. I know I said I wouldn't this morning but hey, it would be rude not to :)

Update - just dipped an IC 10mui and put the photo up (took the other ones off) i dipped another two and a first response for good measure and the 10miu were positive and the FR was negative so i really am going to wait till tomorrow now as it seems my body is doing something pregnancy wise i think but its just a question of seeing if its the real deal or another chemical as my hcg levels must be really really low.

10dpo today - nicky did you see my latest pic? Think that they are all definately lines :) Im still reserving judgement but i sooo want them to be.

Hey just had a mooch and it looks like a line to me and if you are getting that at 10dpo its looking pretty hopeful! I didnt get ANYTHING at 10dpo I only got a faint line at 12DPO...awww I am keeping everything crossed for you.

Well the same thing happened yesterday too and i got those positives so i reckon its all just very very early and hopefully within the next 4 days all will be revealed - thanks for looking at them though its really nice to get another opinion as i really shouldnt test early lol it just enhances my am i? arent i? paranoia!

I am pretty sure i am now though as all those positives cant be wrong, just a waiting game now.

I know but I was exactly the same..I would test religiously from about 6dpo..total madness but you just cant help it! TTC takes over your life and you just want answers ones that tell you your pregnant! You know you will be testing now until 14dpo anyway. I was also tracking BBT so I was also sure as my temps stayed up. Have you got lots of tests left? Are they all the same brand?

I do have a few tests left some internet cheapies and one sainsburys and one boots (and one other that i dont know where its from) - i tend to do two at a time as backup although i am running low so i might just do an internet cheapy in the morning and if its got a line ill see if i can get a positive with a boots hpt too - its 11dpo so that is starting to become realtively respectable for testing

My temps are still up - i will keep an eye on them too, fingers crossed they stay that way but they dont usually drop till 14 ish dpo for me anyway.

Yeah do the boots one with first morning wee tomorrow then use the internet cheapies and I would have the sainsbury's one as your final 14dpo test.

My BBT would go down slightly at 13dpo and then plummet on day 14dpo. When I didnt see it move on 13dpo I knew I was pregnant but DH wasnt convinced until he saw the big thick instant line on the sainsburys test the following day.

So exciting but it is such a difficult time .. I remember being in the exact same situation you are in with faint lines back in March!

Yes its bloody awful. My sensible head says yes you are pregnant - too many lines for me not to be, my pessimistic side says wait until Wednesday when AF is due before getting excited but you just do dont you?

Ill keep an eye on my temps - this is the first month that i have used FF last month when i started temping i used the free chart that came with the boots bbt thermometer and i think i forgot to take it for the last two days before af so i cant really tell when it dropped last month.

I am so tempted to do another one this evening but i cant hold my pee long enough lol because i KNOW im supposed to be holding it in but mostly because i couldnt face a bfn after all of these positives and there is a strong chance i could still get one given that its so early.

Not sure which is the most sensitive between sainsbo's and boots - but will do the boots one anyway. Sleepless night tonight - will be awake stupidly early to test as well - this ttc malarky is tiring.

Pee in a clean pot then you can do as many as you like, after.

Ah fertility friend is so good. I was messing about with OPK's for ages and they were giving me positives when I was days off ovulation (I was assuming I ovulated on cd14 and it was cd18) the charting put me on track and the first time I timed everything around cd 18 (my hubby was working abroad a great deal) I caught! I hated seeing BFN's all the time it breaks your heart. I dont know if I would have the will power not to test tonight even though you know its not going to convince you one way or another irrespective of the result..you still might. Just try and watch tv or do anything to take your mind off it. Do let me know how you get on!

Well i couldnt help it i did a sneaky one just now but the sample wasnt particularly strong and it was BFN - i knew i should have held off but will hopefully get something more tomorrow.

Cant help but feel a bit a bit pessimistic though, when i first started ttc in Jan i had this for a couple of days and then the lines went away and AF came a few days late, tis the perils of testing early i know. i know i am pg but in the very early stages so its a bit hit and miss as to what happens these next few days i suppose. Will let you know if i get anything tomorrow :)

Okay well I hope its a sticky one and your BFP's get stronger! It was bound to be fainter or a BFN with evening urine...that is why holding off is wise. Just discount that test and do one in the morning. Good Luck.

Last night just before bed i did it again, on a sainsburys hpt no less and there was a clear line - it was near the 10 minute mark but it was there, this morning however i broke out the boots htp and the remaining sainsburys and they both went a streaky pink and stayed like it (i must have funny pee or something!) but i couldnt see a line on them.

I dipped a couple of internet cheapies (10 miu and 20 miu) and there is a clear line on the 10 and an ok one on the 20 so i reckon its still building up i suppose. It is only 11dpo - cant understand why the sainsburys one last night was so clear and its all streaky and red this morning without a hint of a line though, at least i know there is hcg in my wee though thanks to the internet cheapies.

Actually i just went back and looked at the ones i didnt think had a positive (i know its after the 10 mins) and there is the faintest barely there line on them - its hard to see because the background didnt go white.

I think in answer to my orignal question these are not evaps and i am pg - just like you say Niki, lets hope its a sticky one! Im not testing again till tomorrow morning though - as im running out of hpts lol AND i dont think its going to get stronger till tomorrow or the day after tbh.

Ah you are definitely pregnant there is no way you would have evap lines on all of those, besides evap lines dont have any pink ink in them. Congrats! Now all you have to think about is relaxing and hoping its a sticky one. The first 12 weeks of a pregnancy are total torture in that respect. Everyday I was expecting to see red..its a stressful time for sure! Yeah try and hold out now till 14dpo and you have the benefit of your BBT chart too so hopefully you wont need to test after that as you can just look at that. So exciting!

Thanks for the reassuring words Nicky :) yep I am definitely pg at the moment am just going to use my chart after weds. Will do one more tomorrow morning and tues then a digital one for posterity on weds :) then that's it!
