RAAAAAAH!!!
6 days before af is due, first response test says NO.
BORRRRINNNNG!
I have been testing since last thursday Blush
I have been getting that nausea thing I had with my first pg but now I think I'm imagining it.
bummer.
How do you cope with endless amounts of 2 week waits ahead of you?

Lol, you could be me!
I'm so impatient, I can't be bothered with all this waiting rubbish, I just want to know the instant it happens!

And I spent 8 bloody pounds on a first response test too!

stottiecake · 30/08/2010 13:21

I just bought 2 for a tenner!
(well I physically bought them with dh's card!!)
It's just soo disapointing.

I know how you feel peeps! I have been trying for 3 months and already bored! Am now trying to forget about it and get into my work (im a teacher so had way too much time on my hands!)

MummyAbroad · 30/08/2010 13:56

I'm in the same boat!!GrinSmile Grin

Here are some things I have tried on my first two week wait (but I think doing all this could well be making it all worse!!!)

  1. Sign up to fertilityfriend.com and choose to get bombarded with emails teaching you all about fertility.
  1. Buy a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility, its huge, comes with software and will keep you occupied for ages.
  1. Get on Amazon and read all the reviews about: bargain HPT's and OPK's, folic acid, pre seed lubricant, evening primrose oil and basal themometers.
  1. Get a rubella jab and flu jab
  1. Go to dentists/chiropractor/fix anything that requires strong painkillers.

and finally...

  1. Enjoy a nice glass of wine, with pate and unpasteurised cheese, you might not be able to for much longer!Grin

Good list! Grin

I got some cracking period like pains on the 17th, and getting them on and off since then. Periods due on the 2nd, have given myself the challenge of not testing til Saturday if nothing happens Wednesday. Doubt that'll happen but if I am pregnant I'll need to start practicing a lot more patience! Might as well start now!

alien06 · 30/08/2010 15:10

great list Smile

I had ov pains last week and got in plenty of BD so now on the 2w.

I have ordered the taking charge of your fertility book so hopefully it shall keep me busy for a few days!

For some reason since I have started TTC my alcohol intake has increased lol, I think its because I am getting down as it didnt happen straight away lol- saddo that I am !

alien06 · 30/08/2010 15:10

Oh and I am seriously addicted to MN!!

stottiecake · 30/08/2010 21:51

Fab list!!!
Bytheway seriously impressed with your restraint!!
Have recovered from my earlier bfn ready to bat myself in the face with another one in the morning (well the hormone is more concentrated in the first wee, non?)(if you're actually pregnant Hmm)

Am also considering turning to drink!

Still waiting... don't feel one way or the other though... grrr...
With DS I was 5 days pregnant when I knew, trying to convince myself that with a second one it'll be totally different and thats why I don't feel pregnant!

Think I know the real answer though...

sweetsherry · 01/09/2010 19:05

Try for another 2 years and then I might sympathise..

!

stottiecake · 01/09/2010 22:19

Incredibley insensitive of me. Sad

So sorry.

OP posts:
AnyFuleKno · 01/09/2010 22:24

you crazy Grin

sweetsherry · 02/09/2010 20:51

Nah, don't listen to me. Just feeling occasionally bitter! I've spent 4.5 yrs of my life TTC - and the waiting actually doesn't get that much easier..

Don't worry - statistically, you're 90% likely to get pg soon.

Someone has to be on the wrong end of those statistics, it's just v. hard when it's you.

CrochetGirl · 02/09/2010 21:33

Never mind the two week wait, I'm counting down the days to ovulation - I'm almost scared to use the tests in case they keep coming up negative!

Baby dust to all!

stottiecake · 02/09/2010 22:09

So sorry Sweetsherry I sincerely wish for it to be your turn next x
bytheway Any sign of AF? Have you tested yet?
Crochetgirl Am not sure whether I should test for ovulation - that would mean I would be testing every day of the month probably one way or another Grin arghhh! I think I am ovulating really early - practically a day or 2 after AF. I read somewhere (on the net) that only 30% of women actually ovulate on the 14th day - most are earlier. Who knows?! Am just going for blanket bombing next month (is that a euphemism?? Ew!)
anyfuleknow you're right!! Grin

OP posts:
MummyAbroad · 02/09/2010 22:12

Grin at blanket bombing! Is there a book explaining that technique? Wink

CrochetGirl · 04/09/2010 19:25

Ha ha stottie, we're going for the same approach - I daren't start in on all the ovulation tests or I'll end up weeing on one every time I go to the loo, crazily examining it and starting to see lines where there are none! I haven't even had any sort of CM pattern yet, and I'm on CD12, but I have had some ov-type pains a couple of days ago. I need a wine!

fandango75 · 04/09/2010 20:46

ladies pls may i ask a question? also pls don't think i am nuts. when TTC do you totally stop drinking? i have and am thinking hang on a bloody minute (see above) could be teetoal for 4.5 yrs..? I am being over the top arent i... (ps i have 1 DS already)

MamaPower · 04/09/2010 22:16

fandango I'm drinking whilst typing...hope that answers your question!!! As a general rule, I exercise regularly, eat a healthy balanced diet, take the ole folic acid, and allow myself a drink every now and then. Great name BTW!

MA That list cracked me up you're so funny, think you should share it with the girlies!

Stottie 2WW sucks! Plain and simple! Hope you get the BFP soon my love...hope we all get it soon!

MummyAbroad · 09/09/2010 18:58

Hello MamaP SmileSmile Crept on to this thread as there is no fish slapping for outrageous 2WW whinging over here Grin

fandango I havent stopped drinking, but I would call myself a moderate drinker anyway (the days of my wild youth have long past, 2 glasses of wine is pushing the boat out!Blush )

Also, before I found out I was pregnant with DS I had a HUGE binge drinking sesh, and it didnt do him any harm (born 9 pounds) so I am not scared to have been drinking in those first few early days. Having said that you will find plenty of books telling you not to drink at all... I guess it is personal choice.
Right now, a glass of wine is the consolation prize for a BFN for me!

Wobblewatcher · 09/09/2010 19:12

Oh god I'm so with you OP!

Very very very impatient!

Loving the list of things to do in 2ww.
