August - first month of TTC? Join me!

Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

klou so glad you got to see your little one, bet you were so happy. How are you feeling?

Liz it's good you feel shocking, its your little one causing trouble already :) Ooh and bet you are excited for the scan.

madkatz hope you are ok too. When will you OV?

Cd8 here so think I will OV cd16 ish unless I have a long cycle. I really hope this is our month, the due date would be between mine and DPs birthday.

Feeling relieved Iwish and ecstatic!! Having a mother as a retired MW definitely has it's advantages! Although, she did make me worry too. But if she hadn't have kicked my arse, I would have just carried on worrying until my 12-14 week scan.
Really hope you will be sharing us some good news of your own this month x

yes iwish fingers and toes crossed for you this month.

i am just sat eating a fruit salad, its the most boring one with just bananna, clementine and grapes, but most deliciousGrin

my evening sickness as starting to wear off, slowly but surely i am feeling better, but then all of a sudden i will feel like death warmed up

At least it's put your mind at rest klou. You can carry on with enjoying your pregnancy now. :). And yeh I would love to be sharing news with you this month, as the months go on it seems to be harder when af arrives. I went to see a psychic a few months ago and apparently there will be a celebration in march

Mmm fruit salad! I'm glad you are feeling a little better. At least you are eating healthy too. Have you decided if you will find out the sex when you get to that point?

dont worry iwish i was exactly the same when ttc my dd. every month my af came i would be in tears, and on the 6th month when it came i had to go home from work cause i just couldnt do anything for crying.

no we are not going to find out the sex. dh wants to but i dont so thats finalGrin my mum says thta there arent many real suprises in life so i want to keep it till the birth. also when people find out i think it takes alot of the specialness (maybe thtas the wrong word but i cant think this early in the morning) out of telling people when you have had it. its like 'oh lizandlulu has had a baby' - 'ohhh what it is girl or boy?'

but when you know what it is its 'lizandlulu has had the baby girl' -'oh thats great'

if you see what i mean!

I agree Liz. I wanted to know but DH didn't, but since talking to all the GP's-to-be, they've all said don't find out. It's one of life's special surprises.

Am addicted to fruit salad too, you and me seem to be on the same wavelength lol! I put a bit of natural yoghurt over it to give it a bit of bitterness. Craving sour at the moment, very odd for me. And yes, the chocolates are still unopened by me from Xmas!! Although DH is making his way through some of them which is very unlike him :)

BTW, my nipples have felt like they've been on fire/chopped off for the last 2 days, bloody excruciating!!

my nipples are sensitive too! my breasts usually never change, grow or anything. apart when after i had dd when they hurt like hell. but this time they are quite sensitive to touch

tmi but i think i have thrushBlush i am not particularily itchy but very sore and tender when wiping at the loo. not sure if it is or not. not sure what else it could be, any ideas?

Sounds like thrush to me. MW went through it on booking, only other thing is STI but I assume it's not that!!

ha ha!! DH going a bit insane as we got told not to DTD until a week after my brown had totally gone. Got a bit this morning, so there's another week!!

give you a rest though hey? no really, is there any reason for the brown or is it just one of those things? i have a friend who is pg with her 5th and she has bled on and off with the last 4 babies, nothing wrong, just something her body does.

Apparently some women just get it. I'll still be a bit unsettled though until I get to the 12 week scan, even though I've seen everything's OK 5th???? She's brave!

No, unfortunately, the MW only came out Friday so she said they'll send it in the post in the next 10 days or so. Less of a rush for them now as I am a week earlier than my dates show, so I OV'd a week later, which is what I always thought anyway.

well, went to the scan and the sonographer said i was measuring 10+6, not 12+6 like i have been thinking, but in reality i knew it was coming. it was too small to do some of the tests though so got to go back in 2 weeks time. i saw the heartbeat though and could make out the head body and legs but it was very blurry.

made it all so real though, i saud to dh in the car on the way back, 'i have actually got a baby in there!' he looked at me like i was divvy, but it just confirmed in my head that it wasnt all a dreamSmile

Ahh Liz that's great news, glad you got to see your little one. Shame you have to relive 2 weeks!!
Know exactly what you mean with having a baby in there confirmed, I was worried at first she wouldn't find anything in there, but alas, little one was there :)

Hi all - sorry I've been in hiding - so tired and work is mental.

Liz great to hear that the scan went okay - I guess that you knew you were pretty likely to get your date moved back a wee bit given they cycle you had.

Madkatz has EWCM arrived yet? Keeping my fingers crossed... (might explain any typos)

Klou glad to hear all was well in the early scan - thrush though...horrid. Definitely get it checked out. You can also get it in your breasts (I know this from BF peer supporter course I did). But not sure if that is common before baby arrives. Might be worth mentioning to your GP/MW that your breasts are v tender - mine are too but only in the way that they were with DS, IYSWIM?

All well here. Sickness is fading (fingers crossed again). Had my flu jab on Wednesday - made me feel rotten on weds evening but fine since then. Scan tomorrow - very nervous. Am terrified it's twins. But even more terrified it's not really there and I've imagined everything.

I'm waiting to POAS, I tried on Monday as I had a Dr's appointment and again yesterday as I had a hospital app for injections into my neck - sorry tmi?

Both came back as BFN but then I'm not due until today of Saturday. However I do normally spot up to 4 days before my AF and there has been no sign so far. I am also feeling v sick so maybe??
