GeraldineMumsnet · 25/01/2010 11:39

Want to win a super-romantic, four-star weekend break, courtesy of Hallmark.co.uk?

Find out how to enter here.

Given Mumsnetters' haiku prowess , it should be a cinch.

Closing date is 7 February 2010.

Oooh! could I have a romantic weekend on my own?

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 15:45

I don't want to go on holiday.

I want the Friday Night topic you promised me.

And a gingerbread man.

And a 27inch waist.

AIBU? Am I?

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 16:42

Yes, tweet to woo. Very funny. Aren't you clever?

Friday Night topic?

Lizzzombie · 25/01/2010 16:51

Did you get my entry? i want to win something!

NotAnOtter · 25/01/2010 20:31

i am too dim to understand how to enter that one

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 20:35

NotAnOtter, I'll enter and if I win, you can have the prize. I don't want a weekend away I WANT A FRIDAY NIGHT TOPIC. Seriously, join twitter (cost, one soul), 'follow' MN and Hallmark (like friending someone on fb) and send MN a direct message with a sappy poem in it.

Gerry, you promised.

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 20:36

oh that comp is too much hassle

even for a twittere like me

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 20:40

NAO, have entered with...

There once was a man named DH
Who insisted on pronouncing it haitch.

So I shot him.

Brilliant, we're sure to win.

Friday night topic please.

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 20:41

why am i so UN motivated by that comp?

NotAnOtter · 25/01/2010 20:41

oooh show of hands you sound like you mean business

what is a friday night topic??
Geraldine I think you might have to succumb!

NotAnOtter · 25/01/2010 20:42

fingers crossed showofhands!!

BradSplit · 25/01/2010 20:42

Love is sitting in different rooms watching telly and not feeling the need to speak. bloody hell thats shit inst it?

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 20:47

I'm uninspired because I've never bloody heard of a bit of London called Little Venice. And they aren't paying for food for you, 'cept breakfast so you have to nick stuff to last you the day. And Valentines is rubbish really.

Still, sure we'll win, eh?

Friday Night topic. A sex topic. So that the sex stuff doesn't sit next to the domestic violence/divorce/affair stuff in 'Relationships' and the topic can also be hidden by those of a sensitive disposition. Gerry said I could have one weeks ago. It makes sense.

NotAnOtter · 25/01/2010 20:50

oooh soh delete your entry now i have heard about the lack of grub prize!

ds birthday anyway

showofhands - is it like - have a friday night shag then tell mumsnetters the 'ins and outs' sort of thing ?

ShowOfHands · 25/01/2010 20:59

NAO, if you want to do that then go right ahead. Ins, outs, ups, downs, round and round.

I genuinely think it might be nice to move the bumsex/what lube do you use/how big is it stuff to its own topic. I think it's incongruous in relationships alongside some of the serious stuff.

And Gerry PROMISED.

NotAnOtter · 25/01/2010 21:01

no seriously i really do agree with you there showofhands - i support your quest

cookielove · 25/01/2010 21:41

i have a great poem and it is tooo long

SpeedyGonzalez · 25/01/2010 21:56

Oh good grief, you have to join Twitter! No chance, matey. I'll stick to our romantic getaway plan of sharing saveloys on Brighton Pier.

shabbapinkfrog · 26/01/2010 00:46

Im not joining Twitter - I spend tooooooo much time on Facebook as it is!! I would just love to win this for my friend Triplets (always, obviously on the multiple mums thread)

There was a mate called Trips,
She coped with all the blips,
She made me smile,
She walked the extra mile,
and she totally deserves to be spoiled pigging rotten because she is my wonderful friend.

OK, it was all going well until the last bit I think she should be awarded the prize anyway!!!!

largeginandtonic · 26/01/2010 10:57

Shabs i second that!

SOH that sounds like a very good idea too.

Come on Gerry

GeraldineMumsnet · 26/01/2010 14:42

Nah, I never promised . Will put it to HQ vote but could be tomorrow because we're not quorate at the mo.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 26/01/2010 16:03

Oh bugger quorate, what is this, a democracy?

I did canvas opinions on a thread as suggested and it was a unanimous yes please.

I'm not solely after a place to be smutty. It does make sense to have a topic that can be hidden and one which can be kept separate from the more general and often upsetting relationship threads.

She didn't promise Justine, honest. IIRC, her exact words were 'ooh I don't know, I'll ask the beautiful and immaculately groomed Justine for her wise and reasoned opinion'. Something like that.

bargainhuntingbetty · 26/01/2010 16:21

Mirror mirror made of glass
Tell me that is not the size of my ass

I like it big my hubby said
But it wasnt that big when we wed.

There is my entry as I cant be bothered registering with Twitter etc.

mamazon · 26/01/2010 20:19

OK - im not very good at twitter but my lymeric was

ther was a mumsnetter from crawley
she found herself incredibly horny,
with a post on a thread about bumsex in bed,
she foudn herself walking round sorely.

??? but i had to post it as twio "tweets" cos it wouldn't all fit.

ShowOfHands · 26/01/2010 20:36

mamazon, reckon you and I will have to split the prize. We're lyrically gifted.
