Does anyone know whether the recipes you submit are to be original or whether they are just recipes you like from books etc?

Sorry for delay in getting back to you on this. The position is, the recipes do have to be original - so we don't want sections of Annabel Karmel copied out of her best seller! However, if you've adapted someone else's recipes, amalgamated a few recipes to make your own creation, or you've found a short cut method of making something then we're interested. The main stipulation is that they are quick and easy and of course that they are well received by your kids!

Once again, apologies for delay in getting back - there's still plenty of time to enter the comp. Closing date will be next Tuesday 25th.

Oooops I had forgotten about this!

Not sure if I would have anything that would actually constitute a recipe that hadn't been taken from a book. Anything that doesn't come out of a book in my house that the children like has been cobbled together, eggy bread, pasta, olive oil, garlic and parmesan etc, etc, the sort of stuff everyone knows and doesn't need a recipe for.

I will keep thinking, perhaps something will come to mind!

You never know - pasta olive oil garlic and parme would be new in our house - might try tonight! My hunch is if it's quick, it works and it's not directly copied from someone's book, send it in. Imagine how happy you'd be to discover eggy bread now if you'd never heard of it!
