i have nothing to review

can i review last weeks eastenders instead?

pooka · 17/02/2008 22:04

Right. Have done 3 reviews. Am I three times as likely to win?
Just told dh that I was trying to win a holiday. He asked whether was just for me. Oh how I wish I had said yes.

JackieNo · 17/02/2008 22:17

Done. Holiday, now remind me, what are they?

OliviaMumsnet · 17/02/2008 22:22

Pooka yes, that's EXACTLY how it works, so keep em coming!

silly question (and probably not the right place to ask it but I didn't know where to put it) - on the cookery books review listing, why are the stars all cockeyed?

Eg Arcticroll has given Nigel Slater's Real Cooking 8/10 but the listing only shows up 1/2 a star. Same for The River Cottage Cookbook and several others. Looks like we are very mean about our cookery books!

OliviaMumsnet · 17/02/2008 22:43

Hi youngvisiter - not a silly question - think Tech needs to look at the stars. THanks for the tip though.

Hi Olivia, did you receive my reviews?

I did a cookery book one and a pushchair one, most of the other categories don't apply to me either.

Hmm What about presents for people? There are christening gifts? and gifts for pregnancy (some of these will be the same regardless of when you were pregnant)? And if you're not buying pushchairs any more, are you on first bikes yet?
You could even review a library book...

How come I can't enter my "marks out of ten" when I enter a review???
(whinging emoticon because I have NEVER won anything on MN, not even a 'tip of the week', or 'quote of the week')

filthymindedvixen · 18/02/2008 10:56

I have no baby and the last holiday we had was camping in cornwall...
(And I don't need cookery books [preen])

MaeBee · 18/02/2008 12:42

i really really want this. so badly! i have already checked out train prices to cornwall. my dp thinks im a loon.

i put in 5 (?) reviews, 3 have come up but 2 haven't, ones i put in the pregnancy gifts and christening gifts. is that cos i did something wrong?! or cos they haven;t been checked yet?

WaynettaSlob · 18/02/2008 12:49

MaeBee - the one I am having problems with is in Pregnancy gifts as wel......

Dottydot · 18/02/2008 12:50

Oh no - this prize is definitely mine - I've been a MNer for a million years - it's my turn!!

MaeBee · 18/02/2008 12:56

oh, and i HAVE got a toddler, but the Jo Malone one was only for people with kids over 3, so it all works out fair on mumsnet...
can i have the prize now please?

OliviaMumsnet · 18/02/2008 16:46

Maebee because they've not been checked yet - don't worry, all five entries will have counted.
GOod luck
