Stumbled across this fun competition this morning from Renshaw Baking. Spot the baking bits in the picture to enter to win a Kenwood mixer - what fun! I'm struggling to find all the items but you can still enter even if you're answers aren't all right.

I have 11!!

are we sharing or not ?

BrentonStripes9 · 20/08/2015 14:03

That's way more than me!

I think sharing is fine?

I've got:

Mixing Bowls,
Fairy Cakes,
Ciabatta,
Soggy Bottom,
Sprinkles? (Not sure with this)

And now I'm stumped!

Blind bake too!

thornrose · 20/08/2015 14:13

Stiff peaks
Hand iced?
Grease

thornrose · 20/08/2015 14:14

Stumped by the egg in the shower?

Imnotaslimjim · 20/08/2015 14:30

Millionaire's shortbread
Egg wash

Any ideas on whats with the bloke with the back to front book?

Imnotaslimjim · 20/08/2015 14:35

And I'm thinking iced fingers rather than hand iced?

thornrose · 20/08/2015 14:35

I'm guessing the cake is cake mould? I just have the reading man and the rain cloud to get!

Imnotaslimjim · 20/08/2015 14:36

Cake mould....

thornrose · 20/08/2015 14:36

Ah yes, iced fingers, that makes more sense.

thornrose · 20/08/2015 14:37

I'm thinking the man reading is something to do with cover?

Imnotaslimjim · 20/08/2015 14:38

Sorry cross post thornrose

Could the rain cloud be drizzle?

Just the reading man to get now

thornrose · 20/08/2015 14:38

Ooh yes, drizzle, brilliant.

Imnotaslimjim · 20/08/2015 14:39

Is there such thing as reverse folding when making pastry or bread? (I'm more of a caker) the fold onthe book seems significant

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 20/08/2015 14:57

ahhhh

I thought the cake was a SPONGE cake!
so

  1. sponge cake

  2. mixing bowls

  3. fairy cakes

  4. blind bake

  5. iced fingers

  6. ciabatta

  7. soggy bottom

  8. stiff peaks

  9. egg wash

  10. millionaire's shortbread

  11. Bun tins (bunting?? a bit dodgy)

  12. I am stuck on Olivia Newton JOhn/John Travolta ...Grease??

  13. Guy with paper...are his hands moving?

  14. And the clouds/rain ...drizzle or sprinkles...good guesses from pp

Soooo I think my bun tin/bunting interpretation is well dodgy and I need three credible answers for the last three

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 20/08/2015 14:57

How did you come to ciabatta as one of the answers? I'm failing big time!

Imnotaslimjim · 20/08/2015 15:22

ciabatta are called Italian slippers because of the shape

I hadn't even thought of the bunting having a meaning, I've got all but the reading man now

abbaroony · 20/08/2015 15:28

could man with paper be folding?

thornrose · 20/08/2015 15:34

I think it is folding, I'm going with that. I'm still unsure about the cake, it probably is sponge cake rather than mould.

I'm pretty sure JT and ONJ is just grease. I'm going for drizzle. I have 11 so I'm going for it.

thornrose · 20/08/2015 15:35

I mean I have 14,

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 20/08/2015 15:40

I think abbarooney has it ...folding/folding in

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 20/08/2015 15:47

I went for folding in too. Good luck everyone.

BrentonStripes9 · 20/08/2015 17:27

Am thinking the mountains in the background may be stiff peaks?

OP posts:
FeelingSmurfy · 20/08/2015 21:13

I didn't include the bunting and I have 13

Soggy bottom
Iced fingers
Fairy cakes
Book fold
Drizzle
Grease
Ciabatta
Egg wash
Mixing bowls
Millionaires shortbread
Blind bake
Stiff peaks
Cake mould

FeelingSmurfy · 20/08/2015 21:15

I did book fold as its a term for a particular type of folding when making pastry

I may have all of them wrong lol but that's what I have got
