I am thinking about doing a house swap in 5 years. I know it is far in advance, but since I have a family I need to start planning and saving. I really want to spend a summer in Edinburgh. We own a 3 bedroom home in Wilmington, North Carolina. It is 30 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from down town. First question is how does house swapping work? Any good links on what to expect would be appreciated. Next question is does Coastal North Carolina appeal to anyone from that area. I just want to know what my chances are of a swap.

1 bed bungalow in Hebden Bridge,West Yorkshire and am wanting to move into a similar property around Leeds/Huddersfield area

My current home overlooks the valley and backs on to the woods.
It's a 5 minute walk into town and a 10 minute walk to the train station and there's a bus stop outside which will take you to both.
The bungalow has a combi-boiler which runs the heating and hot water, double glazing and a well insulated roof space which can be used for storage. It has a shower over the bath and grab rails are installed.
Age restrictions of over 50 applies.
