Hospital Christmas

Hi lovely MNetters

I was so excited about DD's first Christmas that I obviously jinxed it! Spent the afternoon and evening in the hospital with them trying to figure out exactly which infections she didn't did have.

I'm a bit about this as she had the swine flu jab on Thurs and I told the nurse I thought there was something wrong and would have taken her to the GP had we not be seeing the nurse. She checked her over and said there was nothing wrong and I was just being a bit panicky!

However, we were home in time for Eastenders and DD seems to be doing better today and playing with the mass of presents she got.

Hope everyone had a fab day!

was it a reaction to the jab then?

glad you are home now and she's enjoying her pressies

I was told that there was no reaction at all except for a sore arm/leg...but at the hospital yesterday they seemed very concerned that she'd had the vaccine, so I'm not overly sure...?

loads of people got minor flu like symptoms from the jba, some worse than others

I had no reaction , maybe your dd reacted badly

Returned to the hospital this afternoon with a temp of 104, they saw us straight away which was great, cooled her down and gave us different meds. If temp not consistently down overnight we're to return tomorrow.

They think its infections rather than a reaction and so the nurse should have picked up on it. Fingers crossed tonight is better as they were talking today about intravenous antibiotics and a hospital stay which would not be good. On the plus side when her temp is down she is back to being very smiley and happy.
