Christmassy story - anyone got a good one?

We would like to read a Christmas story to the DC tonight (which DH has told me that his parents used to do on Christmas Eve and he would like to carry on the tradition)

Anyone know a good one?

I have a nice nativity one in our Children's bible, I am looking for something else. For age 5 - 8yo.

the night before christmas. if you look it up on the net , you'll probably find the words somewhere. its lovely.

I second Twas the Night Before Christmas - I bought a book of it this year and am hoping to make it into a "tradition".

Good story. You know that could be a really good start to a bestselling book. Maybe you should write it down. Pad it out a wee bit, maybe some folk bring presents or something?

Night before Christmas is PERFECT, will have a look for the book for next year.

the images on here aren't fantastic but its a make your own book so could do for this year? all you need is a printer by the looks of things.

this has the victorian images in it too, i'd save this as a pdf or copy and paste into word and print. its lovely. i'm feeling all nostalgic now.
