suggestions please for a dessert for xmas day?

We can't think of what to have on xmas day as dessert so I am looking for inspiration.

We don't like christmas pudding or anything heavy.

Last year we had a lemony souffle thing from M&S which looked fantastic but didn't taste as good as it looked.

I know its a bit last minute but any thoughts ?

Mercedes I have know idea the exact amount!! I put a bag of frozen fruit into the processor and got it mixing and then slowly added the cream until in turned into a blush colour (It was frozen raspberries I used) then I just added icing sugar to taste. It takes about an hour or so to freeze. Of course the great thing withthis is you culd make it today and there's no messing about tomorrow.

Fruit jelly?

Serves 4

You can vary this by using different fruits and different juices. The kids love it, and it is a healthy dessert.

500ml juice of your choice
I packet powdered gelatine
Fruit (e.g.) a punnet of strawberries

Slice fruit and line bowl with them.

Boil apple juice. Allow to cool very slightly.

Sprinkle gelatine powder over and stir until mixed.

Pour over fruit and chill for three hours.
