Sorry if it's been done before ladies - but what are we all having for Christmas morning breakfast?

Chez Iklboo we are having pancakes with jam/lemon curd/chocolate spread (not all at once - choice of )

Smoked salmon and eggs with either toast or muffins and champagne. Can't bear ruining good bubbly with orange juice!

Maybe a little chocolate

RupertTheBear · 21/12/2009 18:07

Christmas ham with scrambled eggs on English muffins. With Bucks Fizz. Yum

evensunnierdelight · 22/12/2009 05:40

Champagne, fresh juices, smoked salmon, bagels and crossants here. My kids only open their stockings and presents from Santa when they get up, then the rest after a yummy breakfast.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/12/2009 08:14

Well as I have gestational diabetes I expect it'll be an egg and one slice of brown toast for me.

purepurple · 22/12/2009 08:18

bacon sandwiches, coffee and bucks fizz
will keep me going till lunch

Ineedsomesleep · 22/12/2009 08:19

Bacon Sarnies and tea here too. I wouldn't last till lunchtime if I started drinking Champagne at Breakfast.

GetOrfMoiLand · 22/12/2009 08:22

We always have mince pies for breakfast. I make them up the night before, then shove them in the oven in the morning. To eat, take lid off warm mince pie, shove about a pound of clotted cream in, put lid back on, eat.

Perfectly healthy breakfast

GetOrfMoiLand · 22/12/2009 08:23

Don't drink until dinner either, if I started drinking at that time in the morning the cooking would go to pot and we would end up having pot noodles for Chrostmas lunch.

Endless cups of tea in this house.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 22/12/2009 08:24

eggs and bacon, with croissants and chocolate brioche with juice. Maybe something sparkling.

ABetaDad · 22/12/2009 08:26

I tend to do a big 'brunch' breakfast as it stops people hovering when I am cooking Xmas dinner (which arrives about 3.00 pm) if they have had something substantial early on.

I just stick a range of things on the kitchen table so people can graze. Something like salmon, scrambled egg, sausage, chorizo, bacon, tomato, beans, plus cereals, bagels, pastries, toast, juices, berries, coffee, tea and champagne.

purepurple · 22/12/2009 08:28

oooh, ABetaDad, you are making me hungry!

ShiriDoula · 22/12/2009 08:29

Our traditional French-Toast-Mania

I make a huge batch of lovely french-toast (with extra vanilla in the batter!), chop up tons of delicious fruits, make chocolate sauce, and we eat it with powdered sugar. We have loads of friends over for brekkie- it will be a lovely morning

shivster1980 · 22/12/2009 15:41
