Christmas Haiku

I haven't done Haiku for ages - so thought some festive ones were in order. I'll start

Oh, brandy butter
Trinity of all things bad
Tastes bloody good though

or

Oh David Tennant
Soon you're leaving Doctor Who
The new one's too young

My Mother in law
installed on the sofa
My ears bleed.

Oh shite!
Another toy that comes
Sans batteries.

as the snow lies deep
I crack open the Bailey's
sobriety gone.

what is a haiku????

Cherry - it's a wee poem made up of 5-7-5 syllabules. But we won't count!

i see, so something like this:

on the icy road
everyone slips on their arse
then laughs coz its fun

Yes.

Fun, aren't they?

A rebellion
Rage Against The Machine won
Wee Joe sobs. Har Har.

cards sent presents wrapped
tree up shopping done school out
bring on the fun - yay!

See I told you so
Santa has not been this year
You have been too bad

oh mr squiggles
we mourn your elusive hide
no go hamster bling

A Christmas ponder:
Spending more on nephews
Than my own children...

Doors and windows shut
Outside snow falls soft and chil
Inside,children sleep

In our Christmas house,
Daddy sparkles brightly
While Mummys at work

Lost the Sellotape
Again - Will I ever get
My hot bath? - No chance.

Running to post the
Last presents - their determined
small prints in snow

Threads echo in the
memory, Down! the Daily
Mail you rotten rag

The Christmas tree shone
Hours spent making it beautiful
Then kittens happened

I'm loving these!

Turkey, I loathe you
and yet tradition dictates
I hope you taste good

ruddy green snot nose
and bright pink hat with side boings
contrast against snow

mince pies,christmas pud
makes me fatter than it should
must diet soon-ish
