£10 to buy presents for a 9yo and a 13yo

And no they're not my kids, they're my cousins

We've really cut back on Christmas presents this year as we have no money, but I can't bear to cut kids out of the list. I have a crisp £10 note in my wallet and two boys to buy for - but have no idea what to get. My DS is one so no help there.

What is cheap but still fairly desirable?! Doesn't have to be anything brilliant, just something they won't sling straight in the bin and moan about cousin Rhian82.

go to hawkins bazar

ask the staff what to get and tell them your ages and boys

worked well for me with the same amount and two 14 years old boys

Selection boxes. Not very original but I've yet to find a child that doesn't love them!

I've got some of these for dc. They looked fun, but I'll have probably changed my mind by Boxing Day

The site has some affordable bits and bobs and my order arrived quickly.

My DCs just got a Tech Deck from Sinterklaas at the beginning of December. They are mini skateboards that apparently you learn to do tricks with using your fingers (yes, they are that mini!). Collect different styles, stickers, wheels etc and swap with mates. They are the Mutts Nuts as far as my 9yo and his mates are concerned.

£4.99 each from Toys R Us.
