Anyone ordered from CD-WOW this Christmas

I have ordered 4 items from Tesco Entertainment (Jersey) which have all been delivered within a week.

I have also ordered 3 items from CD WOW. 1 they said was on back-order, and as it is out of stock everywhere else I was prepared to wait. The other 2 items were supposedly dispatched on 4th & 7th December and take 5-7 working days, Royal Mail 1st class. Neither have arrived. CD WOW will not investigate until >21 days passed (after Christmas!).

Has anyone HAD their items delivered, and how long did they take?

yep, i received 3 out of 5 items. 2 dvds are stil awol.

in fairness to them they have contacted me several time to say their supplier is causing problems and they're doing their utmost to ensure they're posted by the 18th so they'll be here for xmas but i'm not convinced tbh.

items were all ordered in mid november. i got one dvd the next week, another the week after and the third the week after that

and no one said we ordered cds... i ordered dvds and milliways only said 'items', cd-wow do perfume, books and all sorts of other items as well as cds

I ordered DS a wii game using my nectar points and it's been despached from CD Wow. It's his actual Number One present too! Should be here between yesterday and tomorrow.

Arrrgggghhhh! And I didn't actually choose them, it's their choice.

No but have had similar problems with Woolworths and Zavvi online.

I am very annoyed at Woollies. I orderd a PS3 Game at a bargain price of £12.99 Nov 30th. There was nothing on the website to indicate it was not in stock. Anyhow, its still not here. They send me an email weekly telling me they are "working hard with their suppliers to obtain stock of this item"!! Fine to a point excpet the item is still advertised (now at £30) on their website!!!

Zavvi have done a similar thing!!

Incidently - something that was despatched on 4th December 1st class (from another company) - arrived here today!! A tad longer than the 5 to 7 days expected!

The not so good side to online shopping!

I had a problem with ordering from cd-wow using nectar points - they managed to make a mistake with my email address and then the CD wasn't in stock and they got confused due to the wrong email address. Got to me eventually, but took rather longer than I hoped.

CDWow is a swear word here. Ordered DVD set thing on 12Nov for my Dad as he came down to do Christmas last weekend.

Chased on 27 Nov, email to say sent out that day .Emailed last Monday to say not here and told the 21 day thing. Have kicked up huge fuss and they have asked me to confirm address but nothing else yet.

On searching net seems like they are based in Hong Kong and there are threads on other forums from people with problems.

I used to use them a lot (about 5 years ago) and they were fine. I then defected to Play and forgot about them.

However, I used them last month to order a dvd for DH and am still waiting after 3 weeks.

Not just me then

One item IS a CD (for my Mum who wants it), another is a PS3 Game for DS, and the delayed item is the DVD of a show but it IS hard to get (Amazon et al all say out of stock or 6-8 weeks delivery so not so bad).

However, once they say dispatched you do expect it to arrive

I will highly recommend Tesco Entertainment though.

The CD arrived today - so hopefully game will arrive next week..
