Any thoughts on something to do in West London with a 9 month old, a husband and two grandparents to get everyone out of the house on Boxing Day before we all go a bit mad sitting around at home?

Just go for a walk and nose at peoples Christmas trees through their windows

Tiddd · 13/12/2009 17:59

thanks but not sure my husband will agree to that one!!!

why won't he agree to a walk and nose thru windows? That is what everyone does on Boxing Day.

Looking for something a bit more active - sport to watch etc

sport to watch is not terribly active is it!

There should be plenty of things going on in London on Boxing day. Maybe google for events around your area?

Alarmbellsring · 13/12/2009 18:43

more active = sport to watch

where are you in West London?

Sazisi · 13/12/2009 19:08

We like a walk on the beach.

We usually go out on the piss as well (leaving sprogs with grandparents), with the rest of Ireland - St Stephen's night is one of the busiest nights out of the year.

My in-laws go for a swim in the sea

Alarmbellsring · 13/12/2009 19:19

So wish I lived near the sea

Sazisi · 13/12/2009 19:20

sorry - so self-absorbed - meant to suggest a walk by the river!

Kew Gardens? Not sure if it is open on boxing day, but if it is its a bit more exciting than a walk & you can always go in the glasshouses if wet.

Richmond park, then go for a drink at a local pub with a log fire
