there must be one present you have received that has to be the worst ever !
mine was a few year ago - secret santa at work - an awful hand knitted tea cosy !!! omg !!!!!!!! cringe !!!
not that im ungrateful or anything

An afro comb from Aunty Batty painted like a pocket calculator.

I have the straightest hair it's possible to have.

A hoover and also a grey knitted scarf with holes in the first year my husband and I got together was from mother in law. Luckily she knows me better now.

Second-hand nail varnish. (Sister)

Cowboy-boot-handled butter knives. (MiL)
A tooled-leather lipstick case stamped with "Someone in Texas Loves You" (MiL)
Bejewelled cowboy boot earrings. (MiL)
An Amish Tea-towel holder. (MiL)

A canape-making kit. Twice. On two consecutive Christmases. (MiL)

I was relieved when they relocated back from the States.

For our 1st wedding anniversary my DH bought me a book of erotic fiction and made me a mix tape.

I could have cried but then I was very hormonal as I had given birth 5 days earlier.

A face steamer thingy from MiL (on special offer). To help clear my spots.

I must be super unlucky I have been given tan tights, a size 14 nylon blouse (think v old lady, I was about a size 6 aged 14), pot pourri & bad cheap 'smellies' (I am allergic too), out of date chocolate (I'm talking years out) over the years. Charity shops are always my first port of call after Xmas. Probably all my stuff gets bought up by someone's granny & they give it out to someone next Christmas!

I've mentioned this before but....

For my birthday from MIL (33 yo) I got scented draw liners, a pair of slippers which are identical to the (foul) ones she wears and a lovely woollen doily thing someone from the Ladies' Club had made to go in the middle of the table. Revolting.

Dp's Christmas gift from his parents last year is the best worst present ever. A plate and mount celebrating the Millennium (yes, this was Christmas 2008) with some rather foul paintings on it.

All to be displayed in our minimalist house.

What is it about tights??

I was once given an opened 3 pack of size 24 brown M+S tights by MIL because they were too small for her but "will fit you because you have a large backside" (true, but WTF??). I was a size 16 at the time..
And she had folded the pair she had tried on and put back in again.
