Shoebox appeal, Sainsburys Selhurst Park

Went shopping in Sainsburys Selhurst Park (Crystal Palace) this morning, they have posters for a shoebox appeal for toys for local deprived children.
I have just got back from donating a shoebox and am & that my box is the only donation they have received! It makes me so sad for all those children who may not be getting gifts at christmas so am appealing to other local mumsnetters to donate shoe boxes also.
the appeal runs to the 17th December & toys should be put in a small box with info regarding age/gender suitablity on the box.

VVV sad indeed, i myself have done the shoeboxes for 5 years now and every year try to spread the word and get more boxes.

I saw a similar appeal for food for the homeless in a local shopping centre on saturday - there was nothing in it at all!
