...the alcoholic kind. I have never had one and it is an unfulfilled ambition. I saw some ready mixed in Tesco but how do I serve them? Chilled/warmed/room temp?

Can anyone less ignorant please advise?

OOOO I love Christmas for this reason especially. Some advocaat, squeeze of lime juice, topped with lemonade with, most importantly, a maraschino cherry. In my case that's if they haven't all been eaten every time I pass the fridge. It should be served with ice. Enjoy.

Reminds me of christmas past. There was one time when i was about 14/15 my fab great aunt(sadly no longer with us) made me and my brother one on Christmas Eve, when we'd gone round to drop off her present. Mum came to get us and we were sitting there drinking our second ones. GT Aunt maintained she didn't know they were alcoholic

We just do advocat and lemonade . Serve cold. Ice if you like.
