cliff richard/shadows dvd
book - the gift (celia aherne?)
horoscope daily calandar
touche eclat
book on knitted toys from dd (hint hint)

shit, that's boring no?

butadream · 11/12/2009 11:47

Digital radio

My Mum is 67 and I am getting her and Dad theatre vouchers as they go to London to the theatre 3 or 4 times a year.

Will probably get the Susan Boyle album as well from the children

My MIL is 57 and has terminal cancer so all three of us children are paying for her and FIL to have a luxury weekend away.

Haven't decided what to get from the children.

What is the The grandparents journal thingy someone linked to a while back, sounds really good and would be good to get her I think.

I always do gift bags with a selection of goodies.

My Mother,

3 L'occitaine (sp?)soaps
L'occitaine hand cream
Calendar with pictures of dd
Yankee Candle in a jar (small)
Yankee Candle drawer sachet
Key ring/bag charm

MIL

Nightshirt
Same Calendar with pictures of dd
Key ring/bag charm
Nail Kit

Hmm might have to slip something else in for the MIL, similar value but Mother's might look more - they will open them together and are very competative.

i got my mum a matching glasses case, key ring and umbrella from cath kidston.

thing is, i love cath kidston, but we were in my cousin's house and i was admiring her new ck blinds and i said, i love ck, my mum said, nah, it reminds me of when your dad and i had to live in granddad's flat after we got married and that flat hadn't been decorated since granddad's aunt was in her 20s..

'oh'

No mum, but my Granny's 77 and really liked Twilight, so she wants the other books in the series
