flavoured oils again argh!

Wanted to do flavoured oils for xmas prezzies but i would need to give one next week (wouldnt be used until after new years as there away) and give one a couple of days before xmas

Havent had a chance to do them and am panicing

Have i left it to late??

If you want them to be usable straight away, yes. But You could write a little gift tag explaining that they need to be left a month or so before using.

Also, I had some chili sherry last Christmas that was absolutely delicious. Also surprisingly useful - think Boxing Day morning Bloody Mary. If you put enough chili in it will be fine for drinking then if you do it soon. One hot one, halved, should be enough but there will be recipes out there.

I have those bottles with the swing top lids...about 200ml...could i do the sherry in them or a bit pointless?

Maybe a bit mean-looking. Do the oils with labels, and do yourself some sherry in the original bottle

Will write a note saying leave a month before using

Only problem is i wanted to do lemon and garlic and herbs...apparently lemons and garlic are a complete no no! can cause botulism!...are they really that bad?

does caper and anchovy oil sound vile?
