Aaaah, will I ever get hold of a Thomas the Tank play table?

DS2 wants one for Christmas and it would be a fab surprise for him if he actually got it. I simply cannot justify - for a number of reasons - buying it new from ELC. It is so expensive! Am constantly watching on ebay but on many the tracks have been screwed/glued onto the table - which means they can't be moved and changed around, or they won't post because it is so heavy. Local papers have nothing. Freecycle has nothing

He would love it! He also desperately wants a DSi but he's only 4 so keen to eek out his childhood for a few years yet so really want to get him one. Any ideas where else I can look?

Is this one her any good or is it too expensive? www.toysdirect.com/thomas_table_and_knapford_station_set.html or there is this one www.toysdirect.com/large_thomas_playtable_with_storage_tubs.html?category_id=20 which is cheaper still and I think would be better as it has a bigger surface area for building tracks and the storage containers would be really handy for all the track and accesories.

I've bought from toys direct several times before and they deliver next day by courier so really speedy.

Well I bought the proper Thomas table and train set, came yesterday and they are amazing. DS will be thrilled, luckily with my giftcards it only came to £120 for both instead of the £400 which would have been obscene! Hope everyone who wanted one has managed to get one
