Or is it just me...

You find a product and put it in your basket. You continue shopping.

You go back to your basket, find that the product has been put into your Saved Items--to buy later section of your basket but that the price has suddenly gone up.

I had a lego product that has gone up by ten pounds to 25 pounds since putting it in my basket. Everywhere else, it's the same price - fifteen pounds.

The prices go up and down all the time just as with any other seller/shop - I don't think it has anything to do with what's in your basket or anything clever like that. I guess it's all down to controlling supply, demand and stock levels. Nowt sinister imo.

some things are not sold by Amazon

they always put a big warning up on the same page to tell you of the price changes

I love Amazon

If you see a good deal you really do have to buy it there an then as the prices fluctuate quite a bit.

I recently bought a Buzz Lightyear for £25 which went up more than double that at one point. I waited it out and got it when it was back down. Also got a V-smile pocket for £24 which is now £60.

Not sure about this tracking thing but I have always been really pleased with Amazon. They deliver really promptly and everything has come well packaged. I do hold out for the best deals though and refuse to buy anything from there full price as sods law it will go down the day after I buy it!
