doing xmas for £150 total!!!!

im pleased to say that so far ive got all pressies for 5 ppl and my 6 kids for £100 most from free cycle/charity shops,cheap shops, all i have to do now is get the last min food,eg creams etc.i find that when the kids know you havent much money theyre happy with anything, mine are 26,23,2 x 16, 14,13
they just want the food!!!!
when your on a very low wage/benefits its so important not to try and get everything.....i know ive been on it for years!

twisha - good for you -it sounds as though you have it sorted. Bloody well done - maybe broke is the new black?

i simply cant afford to spend alot on xmas as i dont have the money. the kids ususally have £50 each at birthdays,well the older 2 dont, and they know that money doesnt go far
i always say that i'll try and get the things if i can afford it,but that i will always do my best.....and they appriecate that. with so many ppl losing their jobs and not having the money there really is too much pressure to get the expensive things and lots of things. my kids know that they cant have everthing but are still happy. they each choose a gateaux or similar that they especially want to eat and love it.
its the whole "thing" of xmas that makes it special not just the pressies.
