really wan't sure where to put this.............. anyway. Thinking of having our post Christmas family gathering in or around Chichester this year.

There will be 12 of us, mostly adults and my dd who is 4.6. We want somewhere to eat that is relaxed and family friendly and that is not too expensive. Thinking maybe a set meal or Sunday roast but hoping to get together on the 28th of December.

I know there is a Converted barn near Lavant I think so that maybe a possibility but any other suggestions please? It would be nice as most of us are travelling (tis only 1 sister with no family who actually lives there but anyhoo, she is most likely working part of the day so we thought it might be easier!)

meant to say it would be nice if it's somewhere we can spend a reasonable amount of time in.

The Stables at Fontwell is pub style restaurant - cosy, children`s menu available reasonably priced food. Staff usually very friendly.

the nagshead (the one i would choose)

we have a family meet here at crouchers once a year. Its fine but i think the nags head is more what you are looking for!

Or wetherspoons opposite the cathedral. VERY Cheep and child-friendly

nannyl · 01/12/2009 23:54

just to add the nagshead is well known for their amazing Sunday Roast. Trust me its very good!

nannyl · 01/12/2009 23:54

and (sorry) you can park for free right behind it and enter through the back!

Hi Delgirl - glad you had a good time. I was there with my family on Boxing Day and everyone enjoyed themselves. The staff are great there.
