Looking for ipod-type thing for dh... anyone seen any good un's

cheap as chips please!! dh is joining RAF on 20th jan and i want to get him something to listen to music on for christmas, the question is where from and are the cheaper imitations any good?

I recently got the Philips GoGear Vibe 4MB from Tesco's for under £50 and it is nice, can store 900 songs but also video's and photos.
