Do we have to give them all presents? And if we do, what sort of things?

Would need to be cheap and not too time consuming.

Tin of sweets or biscuits for all to share would be the immediate thought.

as a pre school member of staff myself any gift is greatly appreciated , the type of gift we have had in the past

chocs
wine
biscuits
candles
smellies
diary
pen
fancy note books
personalised keyring
photoframe
books - all had a differnt one and we swapped them round (really good idea especailly as end of summer term gifts)
flowers
cotton hankerchiefs

At our nursery all choc/sweets are pooled and shared out by all staff accross the nursery unless the gift specifically says the nursery nurse's name on it.

i made little presents with my son for his pre-school teachers
small plant pots decorated by my son
small bag compost
pack of seeds
small trowel wrapped in cellophane with gift tag reading thank you for helping me grow from oliver clark

your trowel idea is lovely, naggy!! Can I share? .

Dd has a lovely garden at her pre-school so I'm sure trowels would get used by the children.

Thanks for the ideas. I like the idea of making something a bit more personal but will have to see how the time goes! Also I'm not exactly sure how many staff there are!
