Kite enthusiasts? I need help!

I'd like to get DH a kite for Christmas. Somehting that he can take to the park and use with our two DDs, but not so kiddy that he won't be interested. I'm not sure if 'stunt kites' might be too tricky for our LOs to help fly...?

Can anyone recommend a good brand / type?

Hi, I know nothing about kites other than I bought my dad a stunt-type one a while ago and he's never got the hang of it. DH and I have a simpler one we use with the DCs.
Have just bought DD a 'flying bird' from this website which also sells quite a few different kites, all seem quite cheap and easy to use:
