Matchbox mega rig space shuttle, anyone got one?

I'm thinking of getting this for my 2.5 year old, is it too sophisticated? He's no3 dc so a bit more switched on to playing with toys but still, is it too fiddly?

Its quite chunky, I bought one for DS but tbh I think he was a little too old for it and only used it once. I can have a nosy and see what the smallest pieces are and how many etc if you would like.

I think he will enjoy it now, and will be able to do lots more with it as he gets oler. We bought it for our DSs (then 5, 3 and almost 1) last Christmas and it was one of the biggest hits. The 1 year old spent ages pressing the buttons on the UFO...

We got one for our nearly 4 year old last Christmas but both his brothers (6 and 2.5 at the time)love playing with it too, so no, don't think it would be too old for a 'third' 2.5 year old.
And yes, the UFO makes a really annoying funny noise
