Just wondering if anyone could recommend any story books, etc.?

TIA

Books ds1 liked last Christmas - when he was 2.6 - were The Raymond Briggs' Father Christmas book, Slinki Malinki's Christmas Crackers, and Spot's Christmas (dreadful rubbish, but he loved it). He didn't like the classic Night Before Christmas (Clement Moore?) but probably will this year.

I found some more yesterday that I'd hidden away after last Christmas - Mog's Christmas (very popular), Tickly Christmas Wibbly Pig, and Brian Wildsmith's Christmas Story.

We just bought the Night Before Christmas - I think it's ace, but DD doesn't seem able to concentrate on it.
Maybe 2.6 is a bit young for that classic ...

I know my DD would love Spot's CHristmas too, but I do think it's dross, so she's not getting it. Will have a look at the Raymond Brigg's and Mog's Christmas.

Anymore for anymore?

we've just bought night before christmas and a letter to santa (it's a poem about a little boy writing his letter to santa then dreaming he goes to see santa at the north pole, lovely poem, really easy to read, it flows well IYKWIM). Also got a little nativity story book, again a poem, about the trip to Bethlehem, very simple lovely little poem and a book of Christmas Carols, which comes with a CD to sing along - waterstones have got a 3 for 2 on all christmas books like this at the moment - there's a couple of mr men ones there and a few others wee didn't get.
