What do you want for Christmas? Dh has asked me and I have no idea!

Since having kids I just seem to buy stuff for them really and have got out of the way of buying myself things, so much that I can't think of anything for DH to buy me! I feel I have enough clothes, CD's, perfume etc. Barely ever wear jewellery these days either!

Any ideas anyone?

DH and I werent going to bother at all this year, but after managing to finish christmas present buying by mid november, we do have a little extra cash this month.

My list consists of little things....

The Saddest Girl In The World - Cathy Glass (book)

Take That - The Circus Tour Live (DVD)

Michael Buble CD

Pandoras Box for my Nintendo DS

Countdown game for my Nintendo DS (sad fuck that I am!)

Some posh PROPER drinking chocolate

oh and dont forget that according to my dad, I want a SLANKET. (see thread in AIBU) But the less said about that the better!

gagamama · 30/11/2009 22:57

Wow, very considerate of your DH to ask what I'd like for Christmas! He really needn't go to such effort, especially as we've never even met, but as not to appear rude, I'd really like:

New slippers
Netbook case
Hair straighteners
Clinique face products

I'm also rather coveting these and a rather lovely grey handbag from Joy.

choosyfloosy · 30/11/2009 23:05

I don't think anyone will get it for me but I would really love a hard shell vanity case. Liking these.

A white silk nightdress
Gerard Manley Hopkins poems.
Theatre tickets - if it were my DH buying, I'd expect him to actually get the tickets (and book a babysitter). We're lucky that we have lots of theatres close to us though so it's not a schlep to get there.
Sat nav. SO much. Tired of getting lost.

I would like a marriage proposal, but I've got more chance of getting of winning the lottery than that.

missingtheaction · 01/12/2009 09:09

I want the big lump of builder's rubble/garden stuff at the end of the garden left by th previous owners removed. It has to come through the house. Apparently I have to have that for my birthday as it's too muddy for an Xmas present.

I would love one of those bird boxes with a camera in it.

nickschick · 01/12/2009 09:17

I would like a pair of Ugg boots but I think they are v expensive usually dh 'surprises' me (and everyone else- )last year he bought me an ornament of 2 fairies that eldest dc says looks like they are indulging in 'lady love' for my birthday he bought me a charm for my charm bracelet it was supposedly a babys dummy but does as many people point out look like a butt plug .

Poor dh one year he helpfully bought me some shampoo(?) and was surprised I was less than pleased lol...... his best presents are the thoughtful cheaper ones like a box with slippers, expensive (elnette) hairspray that i would never buy myself some books and just 'stuff' i like but rarely buy ....a chanel lippy etc etc.

slightlycrumpled · 01/12/2009 09:43

I would like my bathroom finished!

Apart from that, lots of really indulgent chocolates, perfume, a radley purse but mostly it's just the bathroom.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/12/2009 09:47

an iphone
a new address book
an icecream maker.
some ever so nice bath stuff.
Mostly rather unrealistic really and we haven't the money for the expensive things anyway.

I expect I will get a couple of dr who dvds, a patricia cornwell book (not read the last few cos I'm bored of them) a box of thorntons and a lush bath bomb. Its what I usually get. I love dh dearly but he struggles with gifts. no ones perfect

borderslass · 01/12/2009 09:50

don't usually get asked last 3 years I've had

kenwood chef
sat nav
mobile phone
all unwrapped

JoeJoe1977 · 01/12/2009 10:00

DH brought my present last month, has wrapped it and hidden it. He seems very please with himself, I'm hoping for an eternity ring, but more than likely it's a bottle of perfume and/or a voucher for John Lewis.

heartofgold · 01/12/2009 10:14

he's already got me a vintage vanity case for my makeup (early pressie cos all the makeup-wearing-occasions are before xmas). would like a cheap watch i can wear for running, other than that i can't think of much i'm after right now, although i'm struggling to imagine reaching a point where i felt i had enough clothes...

if money were no object i will never getting tired of going to gigs in far-off towns and staying in swanky hotels though

dotty2 · 01/12/2009 10:32

We are buying a posh new camera as a joint present to ourselves, so have set a £25 limit for each other. Am struggling to think of small things that I want but am going to leave it to his imagination - books, chocs, a cheap necklace, gloves would all be welcome, though I expect he thinks too boring. Mostly what I like is a seeing a small pile of beautifully wrapped presents and getting that childish rush of anticipation - what's in them is less important (which is just as well!!)

Bettymum · 01/12/2009 11:01

Our IKEA bookshelves moved from the spare bedroom to the sitting room so that I can decorate the bedroom for arrival of DC2.
A cupcake book
And oh yes, I'd also like a pair of teeny weeny piglets to run around the house .

MistergodthisisSal · 01/12/2009 11:15

Clearly not getting it, but I'd love new carpets for the hallway and bedrooms. All installed whilst I'm sent away to a spa day. A girl can but dream...

ilikeyoursleeves · 03/12/2009 22:40

Wow all yours lists are massive! We agreed to spend £100 on each other so I am (hopefully) getting:

-a new DS game
-Just Sheepskin slippers
-some Molton Brown goodies
-a tonne of chocolate

thereistheball · 04/12/2009 09:22

I'd also like some minipigs. And some Jo Malone perfume. And an antique serving platter from Ebay. And a new handbag.

But we have set a £10 limit, which can be stretched to £20, so it will probably be The River Cottage Every Day cook book.

I've taken the precaution of buying myself some books on the side so I don't end up feeling disappointed when DH fails to get me anything (though that's usually on birthdays, because they're easier to forget than Christmas), or buys something random without putting any thought into it at all - which reminds me, does anyone want a foot spa? 3 years old, used once.

GypsyMoth · 04/12/2009 09:37

i'd like;

a new toolbox with some new screwdrivers
something for my garden....shrubs/bulbs/pots/bird table etc
more Tiffany jewellery,of course!
karcher pressure washer
electric sander
expensive pen...a good one
handbag i've seen in 'next'

Bettymum · 04/12/2009 13:19

After a frustrating morning re-spinning all my laundry, I'd also like a new washing machine.

tasjaSAmuminSA · 04/12/2009 14:44

I want a netbook!!!

but we don't have the money
