it's a very nice dog, but there are thousands of soft toys and toy dogs available - would she be happy with a different one? How old is she?

She is 10 but is obssessed with dogs, particularly the minature schnauzer. She wants a real one but we can't at the moment.

it doesnt look like it, but you do have to pay for postage. have just got to checkout with it just before actual payment, and price works out at £35.22 inc postage

gimme a shout if you need any help, can read german pretty well. also, if you are registered on amazon uk, your email and password will work on the german one too.

There is no issue with customs charges from amazon.de or amazon.fr - just expensive shipping charges.

..and count yourself lucky. DS wants the giraffe from the same series, which is 145cm tall

Harrods stock Melissa and Doug (I've seen the giraffe in their catalogue!).

Maybe call them and see if they have it. It's not on their website but maybe they could orer it.

Stealth- we have the giraffe, its huge, i picked him up at a boot-sale for 1 pound , dd loves him to bits.

Marne - that's where DS saw them (he wants the penguin and the dalmation too, but most of all the giraffe) and I did check, but they don't have the one the OP wants (and the others can be found cheaper elsewhere)

You can just imagine the conversation which ended in an £80 giraffe heading for a car boot sale priced at £1, can't you

Where abouts in the country are you? We have a little local toy shop nearby that stocks lots of m&d, actually just looked and they have a website www.littleshopofknowledge.co.uk. They are a lovely family run business I am sure they could try and get it for you if you give them a call.

In the end I decided to leave it for a bit incase one came up in the uk.

Went back on amazon just and it was back in stock .
