DP BOSSES XMAS PPRESENT

my partners boss is very kind wen it comes to xmas for my partner , very genorous indeed !
we r stuck on wat to get him and his wife 4 xmas, as thet r really well off and basically have £x amount of money .
last year we go a theatre break fro 2 at buy a gift.com. but this year money is tight so we cant afford much maybe about £100
my partner works in the office. theres 1 at work and all of the "site lads" club 2gether 2 buy their own present 4 the boss. theres 1 other lady who works in ther office but she buys her own {she spends x amounts of money on their present !}
just wondering if any1 has any ideas on wat to get a couple who have or could have anything ?

I have heard lots of people talk about how good the wine tasting there is. Would love to go myself!

Or how about afternoon tea vouchers? Got vouchers for my parents for the Ritz a few years ago. £37/person or £48/person for the champagne one. If that's a little steep there are some other lovely hotel afternoon teas in London as well.

I am just that you spend £100 on an adult's present, and you do it for someone who is not a friend or family but your DP's boss.

generally presents at work are just token presents, aren't they? like a £5 secret santa or something.

I have never, ever, come across spending £100 on a boss's Christmas present. Do you really have to do this?

The wealthy people I know give and receive alot of food and drink for the holidays. They can 'afford' to spend a great deal, but the people they are giving to don't 'need' anything (and neither do they as recipients).

Look around and see if you can find a really special Christmas cake/pudding, some yummy and festive cupcakes, some beautifully packaged and delicious salmon, some gourmet chocolates, etc. Maybe look online for something that can be shipped in (but don't commit to some mega-expensive Christmas hamper!).

Can't honestly think you need to spend £100. Of course you don't want to appear to be cheap, but a well chosen thoughtful gift is often better than something with a big price tag. IMO.

100 pounds for boss, how kind he is, you spend that much

personally my boss gets nothing ,its my partners boss, up untill he met me he spent a lot more than this , then we had the kids and he reduced it "suppose its 2 keep up with the jones's " the site lads always club together and get him something very expensive (normally holidays/signed memoribillia etc) and the women he works with normally books them into a health farm /spa for a weekend which id imagine costs well over £100 ......
