Is Animal Hospital stuff any good?

DD is 3.5, loves vehicles and animals, etc, so the Animal Hospital camper van looks suitable, but is it any good?

Has anyone's DCs got other Animal Hospital stuff? What's it like?

My dd's have a safari jeep and a few animals. They enjoy playing with it.

is it sturdy? Value for money?

DD is 3.5 and she has the argos value pack of animals, which are ok, but nothing to write home about. If I am honest she prefers littlest pet shop and just used the animal hospital sticker plasters on them instead. Then they ride on her hot wheels cars

I didn't think they were fantastic value for money, but then nothing DD is starting to like seems to be value for money.

DD1 has been into Animal Hospital toys since she was about 3, and is (worryingly ) still really into them now aged 10.
It's really plasticky, but I must admit has lasted well.

dd 6 has the snow range, she isnt that interested but ds 3 plays with them loads and they withstand quite a lot of battering.

How do they compare to playmobil I wonder?

Playmobil are doing a vet's thing now with plasters & bandages- might that be worth a look?

maybe my boys are just really heavy on toys, but I haven't found that it's lasted well at all, loads of little bits have broken off.

That said, they do love it and play with it all the time. Not so convinced about the low-rent Trude Mostue character that comes with it though.

Thanks folks, very helpful. DP would love a low-rent Trude Mostue...

My 9, 8 and 5yo dds have been playing with animal hospital stuff for years, none of it has broken. They play with Sylvanian stuff and also playmobil a lot, all of it has been used much more than the wooden dolls house.

So yes for us it was good value for money. dd1 and dd2 do want to be vets or zookeepers though.

My 7y DD loves the Animal Hospital toys and has several pieces, plus more coming for Cristmas. She has the camper van too.

It is pretty sturdy - it has lasted so far for at least 2-3 years, and it gets a fair amount of use.

The are also the same size as Polly Pocket so DD happily uses AH and PP toys together, which gives even more play value.

You can get things int he AH range for varying prices, none of it too pricaey IMO.

been well worth it for my DD.

Definitely cheaper and prefered over Sylvanian Families for DD too - which has cost a fortune!
